It sounds like the brits just built off their idea and innovated it rather than inventing it.

Sure explain to me the rules of the Greek sport and we will see the differences, to see how much was built on and how much was innovated.

Hmmm. You mean you find your national anthem funny? Land of the free and home of the brave.
What I really find funny is how Americans are so great we're even British royalty.

          Bow to Princess Meghan...

Oh, what an achievement, Murica princess!

The fact that Americans care more about the British royalty that’s basically just a figurehead for ceremonial purpose than the average Brit adds credence to everything I’ve been saying on this thread, lol.

And when did Meghan become a princess? Lol. She’s a duchess and can never become a queen. Your Meghan married the other prince who has no chance of ever becoming a king. Americans playing second fiddle again, lol. But if you’re happy, then I’m happy for you, lol.

"Americans care more about British royalty" (proceeds to explain royal bureaucracy)

It's like this, bruh. Just like your prince, just like Anthony Joshua, just like Tyson Fury, just like everyone going back to the Protestants, if you want the biggest and the best, you look at America.

When Prince Hakeem of Zamunda was looking for a wife, he didn't go to Wales, he came to Queens

Oh, Sugar Ray Robinson lost to Randy Turpin, Mick Leahy and Terry Downes. There goes your greatest, lol.
Such an ironic post after Ruiz wiped the deck with your greatest champion.

Anyway, Americans can be good or bad like everyone else. You know, it doesn't matter where a sport originates ... Greece hasn't dominated an Olympics since they left Greece. Don't be butthurt 'cause Americans kick ass .... Americans are from all over the world really unless they are Native American Indians.

PS - your Cooper/Ali memories are seriously distorted. Cooper got a knockdown, before being beat to near death bleed-out. Turpin won a referee only 15 round decision before being KO'd by Sugar Ray in the rematch. Sugar was 43 when he lost a "close decision" to 29 yr old Leahy, and was 41 when he lost a close decision to Downes, Downes famously saying "I beat Sugar Ray's ghost" - LoL @ the great Brits

Pygmachia was a wildly popular Greek boxing sport with brutal and bloody fighting techniques, occasionally leading to deaths in the pit.

Well it looks weight classes were added as well as multiple rounds and decisions .
