Exactly, Manny might use "the calf" excuse this time! And need a special "basin" & "rinse" from Spain in order for it to heal properly! Roach will cry wolf and say "I really didn't want Manny taking this fight in the 1st place, but I really couldn't pass up the payda....er, um, uh,...I told Manny he was slowing down and that he should call it a career and take it easy, I told him to 'relax with Jinkie and the family'"...."You know Manny, he does what he wants."
Imo, with Horn? Manny shouldv gotten a **** kit and pressed charges lol, Horn was brutal and got away with murder being that he was on home turf. Welterweights don't even talk about Horn anymore because they realize they'll all end up needing **** kits - he's not worth the work, unless of course they can pepper him from the outside like Crawford did.
Roach seems to be playing around (I had just read the heading when I commented earlier). He'd be crazy to think that Thurman could not get any better than he was in his last outing. Or that Thurman wouldnt try his very best to up his game against a past prime legend who's shorter than him - on PPV to boot?!!
As far as I'm concerned youve gotta plan for the BEST Thurman, regardless of how bad he looked in his last fight. Thurmans a "professional," which means his thinking and recharge button is on another level....at least, thats what I believe about above average professional athletes "in their element." I think thats a no-brainer and think Spence hit it on the nail with his predictions
....revelated, sorry for the looong book ..lol.
