  • Ggg/Does the "should he earn it" debate miss the pt/contradicting-G

My question to you boxingscene posters is this: Do you agree with me that it has nothing to do with earning it, or do you agree with yay or nay on the argument that ggg needs to earn another canelo payday?(Remember a fighter is only as good as his legacy opponent,& boxing fans agree as a consensus that the smaller guy beating bigger men should also weigh into how much a fighter risked careerwise)

Imho this is what both sides don't understand,he doesn't need to "earn it" but if he is even half the man him & his fans have claimed he is all these yrs he shouldn't be forced into fighting anyone & we shouldn't even be having this conversation to begin with because if he was anything but a hypejob hed be trying to at least come close to pac & his legacy hell even JMM ffs.

A supposed "peoples champ "ggg has now resorted to calling himself would be trying to face whomever wants it at 160(or higher)as hes claimed all along that he wanted,& that "I'm lil mw this is my weight class & as long as they face me at mw I want the best!"

I have been saying for yrs now that ggg has conned fans into believing in his made up persona & status of a supposed mexican style killer.

It's sad that ggg has made his entire career about canelo despite Canelo being much smaller naturally than him & ggg never going below 160 pro 165 Olympics (by his own admission hes bigger once the fight was signed,& by admission of Sanchez, Loeffler etc. Gs bigger than nelo),& worse yet he has made the same fans/pundits etc. act like hes chasing greatness for making a smaller man his only legacy fight after 10 yrs at mw(besides Jacobs he was forced to face)

"They" act as if him fighting tiny opponents/wws/bellhops at every opportunity is ok despite these same ppl having once rediculed much younger canelo for allegedly being a weight bully against opponents at least his size/height or bigger majority of his career.(If you think im fos/blind hater etc. prove me wrong without demonstrating gs worse)

There have been so many lies & mental gymnastics that ggg/his team/fans have made over the yrs that its easier to list them & why.

This is why ggg has damaged boxing with his fake hypocritical diva ways due to fans hes created that will never admit the irony that his entire career is a boxing version of a Madoff scam:

Ggg used to say:"Canelos a weight bully picking on lil guys,he mw just like me,I lil MW so no cw he should have to go to my weight"..."Canelo businessman disrespect boxing,he no honor mandatory commitments, not like me I do this for boxing for fans & honor boxing I honor my mandatories I no disrespect boxing with catchweights,or being a-side making things in contract to have advantage"-He literally refused to let Canelo use his sanctioned gloves in the rematch out of fear supposedly that they'd fall apart & allow canelo to avoid being kod, that its all his scheme.

Ggg used to say:"A ww fighting nelo at 155 is disgrace to boxing" -weeks later he dragged a ww to 160

"Canelos greedy businessman no like me he scared & I won't accept less than 45% he needs me to make big drama show"- weeks later he signed for a flat fee of 3 million with zero % of ppv upside to travel to england to face a ww. Brook was the A-side. Then he negotiated with jacobs for an entire yr over a few hundred k,& blamed Jacobs 4 wasting 9 mos of his career supposedly. Yet he forced canelo to either give him 45% purse split mandated by wbc when he forced purse bid while canelo was in middle of trial where he lost 8 mil.

"Canelos a coward disgrace to mexico for vacating his belt"- Ggg vacated his full IBF belt rather than face BJS or Deryevchenko as was all required to avoid being stripped & rather than avenge it he faced 117th ranked rolls.(he also said it was his dream to become unified but he lied, his dream was hitting the Canelottery

"I deserve more money if I face dangerous fighter like Deryevchenko,so thats why I tried Mung-uia & when commission refused to sanction it 4 being too much cherrypick I chose 3 yrs retired Vanes"-GGG 2018

"I lil mw who will ko anyone within 8 rds at mw,but I no fight catchweights disgrace to boxing"-he faced rolls at a cw of 165 despite being lil MW?he also was willing to give rosado cw but not lineal champs nelo or cotto respectively?he too small for smw? What happened to: "if he fighting cws he should go to new division instead of disrespecting boxing?

"Theres too much politics in boxing, the best are scared of fighting the best & fighters are too protected,I wish the boxers stopped making excuses & fighting lower level gauranteed win opponents"-ggg 2019 1 week before announcing Rolls as opponent.

For years we've heard pundits like kellerman saying ggg beats anyone from 154-168 easy work. Yet at every

You are a pathetic GGG hater, an ass hole, a liar and a fool. GGG and Canelo both have deals with DAZN. GGG has a 6 fight deal for 100 million or about 16 million a fight no matter who he fights. He doesn't get a dime more for fighting Canelo than he does for fighting any other opponent. Do you understand that you ****** mfr. He wants to fight your chicken sht hero because he think he got robbed twice. Canelo had no belts and no titles when he fought a draw with GGG. GGG gave him a 2nd chance to win the title and Canelo still had no belt and no title and beat NOBODY to get a 2nd chance at the titles. Canelo won a hometown decision by one point. GGG shouldn't have to do a damn thing to get a rematch with Canelo just as Canelo did nothing to get two fights with him. You rigged this poll so that every one of the three answers makes GGG look bad. Only GGG haters like you will even vote. You got the idea from that other GGG hating ass hole Ronnie Barrett. Canelo was never going to fight GGG if he beat Jermall or Andrade. He won't fight him unless DAZN forces him to. He just wanted GGG to do his job for him. Canelo isn't trying to fight Andrade or Jermall like he told GGG to do and he never will fight them. He is a phony looking to drain old Kovalev with a catchweight or fight over matched Munguia. Canelo will lose in September in my opinion unless he cherry picks Munguia. He is slowing down and it showed in the Jacobs fight when he gasses out in the late rounds and only threw 400 punches all fight. GGG will knock him out in the late rounds if DAZN forces him to fight GGG. Even a weight drained Kovalev will do the same. Starting a thread just to hate on GGG. What a pathetic ass hole you are. *** off with your rigged poll.

I won't bore you with my own laundry list of Canelo complaints, but to address your general point, in boxing (and life in general for that matter), people tend to be fearless and idealistic in their youth, with cynicism and materialism coming later on. Whether that makes one a hypocritical sellout or a realist coming to terms with growing responsibilities I'll leave to your judgement, but Golovkin wouldn't be the first person to adjust his priorities in life or sport. I'm sure we all do at some point, so for me it's no surprise to see an ageing boxer put money first.

Quick point about the Derevyenchenko situation, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who'd take that fight with Canelo on the horizon, especially as a late sub, and the loss of the belt isn't a million miles away from Hagler dropping the WBA title in order to fight Ray Leonard rather than mandatory challenger Herol Graham.

Your point about Gabe Rosado is very fair and I didn't like the Kell Brook fight at all, so I'm not here to proclaim GGG as some kind of saint. Just trying to provide a little balance.

Respect your honesty, you sound like a fair, logical fan who at least don't try to claim your not a ggg fan or that its all Canelis fault like most do daily. I just wish more ggg fans would hold him to the same standards as canelo. If ggg merely did what the elite fighters before him used to in prior eras, then he wouldn't even be needing Canelo & he wouldnt need to try calling him out non-stop,fans demanded it before they'd demand it again if he had andrades strap especially.

If ggg got Andrades strap hed be able to claim he became undisputed because he would've had each mw belt at one time & he already says hes the rightful champ. So as I've been saying rightful champs don't wait for other men to take initiatives, they show the world they are the truth

If you really truly were wronged/robbed the last thing you should be content doing is letting whom wronged you succeed & make a fool of you

GGG is so old, though. Let him grab that one last mega check.
He can then go back to fighting the Rolls of the sport until his contract is up.

The star that Canelo is, Golovkin would need him no matter what he did, just as Hagler couldn't retire without fighting Sugar Ray, despite all his accomplishments.
I look at all the concessions Hagler made for that fight and I think "Why? You're the champ! Tell him to **** off with that bull****!" But ultimately this is prize fighting and guys like Ray, Oscar and Canelo are the prize, not just in money terms but prestige.

GGG is a sore loser. He can continue living in his fantasy island along with his ret***ed fans as they continue to drift away from the spot light of the sport. Canelo fraught the fight GGG wanted in the second fight and he won fair and square. Get on with your alls lives. Everyone else in the sport is. If you were GGG would you continue to cry like a little b*tch for the rest of your life or just move on to take more challenging fights to solidify who you say you are? It's really simple....this is a Man's sport and all of GGG's and your alls emotional whining is pathetic and only damages GGG. It's no wonder why he is starting to get booed at events when they put him on the big screen.
