Wow Formella was fantastic in fairness, did all he had to do. High ass work rate, good chin, good movement, good vision. Would make a very tough fight for most at WW.

Props to anyone who backed Formella.

He had a lot of doubters and delivered big time.

To be fair he was already fringe contender level himself but he showed a lot of quality in there. I was under the impression he was a very basic effective fighter but he's much more. He managed to outjab Mbenge and barely get touched cos his footwork and movement is very impressive. Even when he was tired and couldn't move as much he just dug in and traded, his straight punches were much better than Mbenge's. He's got pretty fast hands, his chin is quality. Mbenge is a big puncher, you could see it but Formella didn't even flinch. It was the performance of a lifetime for him being so outsized and overpowered physically, Mbenge is like a lower volume version of Spence Jr in there. But Formella was crucially super active, he saw all the punches coming and managed to avoid most whole countering quickly and crisply, moving out of harms way swiftly. It was shockingly impressive to me. I have faith this guy can do some things and upset the apple cart once again.
