Tony Harrison not widely respected as champ

Why is it that on social media, most comments are about Tony ducking and not really wanting the rematch with Charlo? Is it because he really did not give a convincing win in the first fight?
Do you all respect Harrison as champ?

Harrison is the champ that beat Charlo.

People are sheep, either listening to what commentators tell them instead of their eyes. Plus, Charlo has a better fanbase

But Harrison won, and is the better boxer.

Long story short most people feel the wrong brother lost that night.

Lennox and Goosen were awful calling that fight, as they always are. Clearly biased and couldn't just talk about what was actually happening in the fight vs. what they wanted or expected.

But you have to take it from the champ! Boxing fans are disappointing really. Harrison boxed well and earned his title. Being respected by your peers is what matters the most at the end of the day.

That take it from the champ crap is nonsense. You have to win more rounds than the other guy, that's how boxing works. Just because the guy that won didn't win in the manner people may have wanted changes nothing. Win more rounds or KO your opponent

I agree. I was actually being sarcastic and making fun of those who keep using this saying because I have seen a lot of people use it for this particular fight claiming that Harrison had fought too conservatively and thus didn't do enough to "take it from the champ".

What's funny is that we could very well reverse the roles and consider that "the champion has to dominate, to show the world why he's the champion and why the others are merely contenders". It would be equally wrong but no more absurd. It's just that someone in this business once said "you had to take it from the champ" and it sticked.

Because he said he’s fake an injury so he wouldn’t fight Charlo
