I remember that was the problem in making the second Canelo vs Golovkin fight, but Golden Boy made an offer to Golovkin for the September 2019 fight which Golovkin rejected. As reported by Idec on this site on June 20:

"Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix reported Thursday morning that negotiations for their third fight have stalled largely due to Golovkin’s reluctance to face Alvarez in Las Vegas for a third time. The former middleweight champion made it clear in the aftermath of his fourth-round knockout of Steve Rolls on June 8 that he wants their third fight to take place elsewhere.

According to Mannix, also a commentator for DAZN, promoter Oscar De La Hoya will start looking at other opponents for Alvarez’s next fight if they can’t come to a resolution by Friday. Mexico’s Alvarez, the IBF/WBA/WBC middleweight champion, is scheduled to return to the ring September 14."

Canelo would fight kova at 175 for that belt. He’s already taken out Jacobs and golovkin. Andrade isn’t that good. A third triple g fight would be better than a snooze fest win against Andrade. Let’s be honest Andrade would probably chicken out and “get injured” anyways. Charlo is with pbc.

He wont fight Kovalev at 175 without an impossible rehydration clause, or most likely a catchweight. He has fought Jacobs, a Golovkin retread.Hes fought a domestic fighter in Fielding. And now this. Andrade would be more interesting than this fight. Smith would be too. Saunders would be too. Id rather see him fight guys on hes level, not guys like this or guys who've been killed on the scale. This is no different to the guy before him. Hes no different to Golovkin, except Golovkin actually fought a young, top level hungry fighter. Canelo aint, and it looks like he aint gonna.

If these guys are having a problem making weight they should move up. I’m sure you were saying the complete OPPOSITE and calling Canelo a weight bully when he weighed 154 against Smith.... 10lbs is an original IBF rule that was in place For YEARS until Jacobs took an unfair advantage that the IBF had to address right away for 1 dishonest boxer. Golovkin is self-centered, whiny and greedy. I must admit that I bought into his good guy, choir boy image that he and his team cultivated when he first hit the scene. But GGG can no longer hide his real nature. He is a detestable, lying hypocritical creature. I hope he never gets another Canelo payday. We shall see.

When is someone going to willingly say that they are considering Andrade as an opponent? Dude has a belt & these guys act like he doesn't exist. I like em all but c'mon now.

They are announcing it today !!! discussions with Andrade now but it won't happen. Canelo wants Kovalev and this is all just to get the price right!

All this talk about everyone else is just to get Kovalev cheaper! They want nothing to do with Andrade!!
