well one guy told me that the reason tyson changed from southpaw. Is because short fighters who fight southpaw are more vunerable to straight right hands . Is that true?.
That makes sense. I'm going to look it up and see if I can find any supporting evidence.
To answer your other question, I think he could've used the peek-a-boo style as a southpaw. He might've even been more effective.
do you box ?. Did cus actually say this or is that your theory?.
i do box and in my opinion tyson would have been even faster as a southpaw both with his feet and hands as well as punch harder, the reason i say this is his legs were also naturally a southpaw stance as well as his arms. you can tell this by the size of his right leg in contrast to his left. his right leg was bigger then his left witch is backwards also the young tyson had footwork problems but trained so hard his body adapted somewhat. as far as his hands if you notice his right hand was faster then his left . that is also backwards, and also the reason i belive he gave up on the jab becuase it became a hassle. left handed tyson would of also hit harder ,been faster with both hands and feet. but i cant say if he would be a better fighter becuase eveybody would know how to fight him , they would throw long straight left hands and him only being 511 they could really zero in . on the other hand he also would know what his oppents game plan would be striaght rights all night
