He could just fight some bum and pocket more money like little G is doing, is that what people want instead?
    .

Huh? You think Canelos and GGGs take home gets smaller the more they pay the opponent? You got some kinda link for that cos I'm struggling to buy it? That'd be kinda dumb from DAZNs perspective, basically disincentivising the fights that are gonna get the most subscriptions.

CANELO would fight FURY to avoid ANDRADE or CHARLO at his regular weight. Lol.

Kov punches harder than GGG but lacks the skill of Gennady, and especially Andrade, Smith, Saunders and Charlotte.
I disagree. Imo Kovalev is significantly more skilled than GGG who is fairly rudimental by comparison. I think because of Kovalevs ridiculous power it kind of overshadows the fact that his boxing skills are legit

So they offered him $5-6 million? That may be less than half of Jacobs but who else is offering Kovalev $5-6 million? He made maybe half that for both Ward fights combined.

Canelo's career is managed splendidly: avoid real risk, pick on past their prime elite fighters for the balance between lower risk and yet credible name. You have to take your hat off to Oscar for managing Canelo this way. Plus there is always that insurance policy of "118-110".

GGG is still too dangerous, eh? Why not wait until May 2020 when GGG is 38? Good sport.

Compare Jacobs selling out msg vs c levels to fold giving free tickets to rec centers
it's simple Jacobs got as much as he did BECAUSE he signed a multi-fight deal with DAZN and Matchroom. He was also in more high demand because he was a free agent with options for big money fights on the PBC side of the street. Kovalev ain't a free agent, can't and won't sign a multi-fight deal with Golden Boy or DAZN guaranteeing future fights on DAZN. yet wants to be paid the same as guys who are agreeing to fight future fights on DAZN? And there is no competition because there is nobody else on his side of the street that is paying him big bucks and oh by the way he owes a high risk mandatory that will pay him peanuts and he could very well lose.

He simply doesn't have the leverage Jacobs had with Al Haymon in his back pocket or the options Jacobs had. Jacobs used all that and cashed in agreed to big multi-fight deal with DAZN that included him getting the Canelo fight and getting paid handsomely for that first fight on his deal. Kovalev and kathy are some phuking idiots with little leverage demanding money they can't get anywhere else for a guy at Kovalev's age who could lose his mandatory if he passes on a career payday from Canelo LMAO

I'm surprised they see Kovalev as such an easy fight. They must have heard more about Golovkin beating him up in sparring. I know Kovalev isnt what he was 3 years ago, but the guy is still a good fighter who is much bigger, and can control distance just as good as Canelo. Canelo would have to be the bull in that fight and break Kovalev down.

He only made 2M to fight Ward that was his career high payday and Ward was 1# P4P and that was PPV and Kovalev at his peak popularity and drawing power. He's a 1M fighter at best today. And probably didn't even make that his last fight to avenge his loss to Alvarez.

                    So beat it.
Kov can fight someone else then. Still think fight gets made. Just testing waters

Agreed. Kovalev has been a champ for a long time and is currently the best LHW in my opinion.
