Multiple sources have informed BoxingScene.com that Golden Boy Promotions provided an offer to Kovalev's promoter, Main Events, on Tuesday that Kovalev and his handlers have deemed unacceptable. The exact figure is not known, but BoxingScene.com has confirmed that it's less than half of the $12.5 million guarantee Alvarez's previous opponent, Daniel Jacobs, made for their middleweight title unification match May 4 in Las Vegas.

I hope they get this sorted out quickly. Either fight: Kovalev or GGG 3, I'm happy with. I don't really get too excited at the thought of a Callum Smith fight, so knowing my luck - that's the fight we're getting.

Wonder who Lovkin will fight next if he doesn’t get the Canelo fight? Bet it won’t be Andrade, Charlo, Derev or Jacobs again. If you can’t get that payday fight go fight one of the top MW and earn it. Can’t understand why GGG fans don’t demand this of him. Same goes for fans of all of the above except Jacobs cuz he just fought the the best middleweight in the world.
