World of Boxing win Roman/Akhmadaliev purse bid

Not entirely sure what this means or how it came about, with them both being promoted by Matchroom. Sep 14th presumably is the undercard to Golovkin/Munguia

Seems strange when he was looking for unifications. It isn't like he's big for the weight. But hopefully we get that fight in America in September. Everybody gets robbed in Russia.

I think he'll vacate, Rafael said hes on that Mexican card. Only explanation, that stops it being a duck, is hes had 2 mandatories put on him, and will fight Iwasa the IBF mandatory on the Mexico card.

Also there must be a WBA rule that the winner of the purse bid still has control if the champion vacate, like the Castano/Soro situation. Otherwise the whole thing was a big waste of time to get dressed up for

I'd be cool with Roman/Iwasa and Akhmadaliev vs the winner of DDLH/Rios

Think youve cracked it. Akhmadaliev vs DDLH on Canelo's undercard must be the plan.

Don't they only have a certain amount of time to make the fight after winning a purse bid?

What was the time frame on Castano pulling out and them getting Kurbanov in? They had the date for Castano, Kurbanov stepped in on that date. Seems odd theyd give Golden Boys date to the WBA, when neither fighters aligned with GBP. De La Hoya fights next week, could be theres a deal already in place, just have to sort out purses.

Eddie protecting his 0 in his purse bids.

Sadly I don't think he realizes the 0 is supposed to be in the L column not the W column.
