Yeah you're right. Mayweather was still a great fighter. We all know what he did though.
As for Fury - no one really knows. It's all opinion. He could be a great fighter but he needs to prove it against top opposition.
He's black and it was a social media survey You seen social media??
Where you from, man? I ain't saying we ain't got racism in the UK, but it ain't really the all pervasive thing it is in the US... Joshua for instance was wildly more popular than Fury judged by SM... probably still is for that matter... yeah 2.5mil vs 1.2mil followers.
I know it took me a while to wrap my head around the extent to which race is a constant theme in the American collective psyche and I think that maybe the reverse is true too, that folk in the US and Mexico assume that folk in the UK and Europe are similarly obsessed.

Well said. Ethnicity is irrelevant for the absolute majority in the UK.
If Gorman can turn in a near perfect performance, his boxing ability should cancel out Dubois' power. But that's just a concept in a perfect world. Should be a great matchup, no matter who gets the W.

I'm from the UK near London. It's good where I live. My sister is black (I am white. She is adopted) and she says she has never experienced racism. But when you go on social media - it's scary. Not all places in the UK are the same and there are ignorant people everywhere. There's also unconscious bias - which is natural.
