According to comments from Canelo fans, I think canelo should just retire. I mean everyone who is a viable option to face Canelo is apparently levels below him according to them. He is so great that even other world champions, in their prime, who are undefeated and in & above his weight class are no match for the great Canelo. He is so good, that him even entertaining a fight with them is nauseating. He is so amazing that a brand new belt from a long standing boxing organization has been created specifically for him. It's a life time achievementnent title that can never go away. He should just retire as there are no longer any viable threats to his golden crown.

That would appear to be the consensus. Because his militant nationalist fans believe no one is good enough to fight him....not Charlo, not ggg, not Smith, not Booboo, no one....he really should just stop fighting and retire. Through there logic, there are no challenges for him.
Canelo is a great fighter and on top of his game but like Anthony Joshua prior to his recent loss, his fans are not the type of people you can or want to talk boxing with. Like Joshua fans, they are immensely emotional and jingoistic and exactly like Joshua fans they all come off as they are under 20 and with no real interest in boxing as a whole.

if his next opponent was Kovalev, he would have fought Kovalev in September..... if his next opponent was Callum Smith, then he would have fought Smith in September.....

Although Canelo has not had a definitive decisive career defining victory, he's one of the best no doubt. Not THE best one of the best. Andrade offers nothing. He'll move around land some pot shots but will never hurt Canelo and would lose a lopsided decision. Charlo proved that he could do nothing to Canelo either. So basically the past his prime Russian that Canelo was gifted a draw and had no business winning his belts to should be the next fight.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has transcended the sport aspects of boxing. He is a business entity now...I'll bet hundreds, if not thousands of people, rely on his money-generating machine. Guys like him will only fight the "best" when it makes financial sense; and Floyd has shown what kind of sense we are talking about here. I think Andrade is not a money-maker for Canelo and that's why they may never fight. And I don't think that's so wrong; boxing is brutal and can be deadly; nothing wrong with building a treasury that ensures he and his offspring and extended family are taken care of forever.
