Jermall Charlo. Hes just not good enough.

I know im labelled as a bit of a PBC hater but this guy Jermall Charlo keeps proving over and over that he is a decent Boxer but he will always struggle and lose against the top boys of the division. Hes just not good enough. Last nights performance proved it yet again. Hes good, but hes not good enough.

He really should not of been handed the WBC full title without having to fight WBC number 2 for it as a vacant belt. But he has got it now, had it handed to him and the cynical side of me tells me the PBC are going to soft match him as best they can and the WBC will facilitate that the best that they can too as they have done many times before with fighters they seem to favour for one reason or another.

But ignoring my cynical bit there i still dont like to see a fighter who hasnt proved he can handle the best at the division be gifted a world title without even having to fight for it. That belt should of been up for grabs and after watching Jermall Charlo be nothing more than average in yet another fight it really nails my point to the wall.

In defence of the WBC and Charlo i conceed that last nights fight was made well before Charlo was given a world title. So lets hope the next opponent for Charlo and the belt is a high level guy who deserves his shot. But I bet it isnt. I bet some no name all of a sudden rockets up the WBC Middleweight rankings without having done anything.

It became very clear a long time ago that the LDBC are the PBC's spin doctors. Ive seen it acknowledged on more than one occasion that donations come to them direct from the PBC. Its just a shame that some of them shills have spilled on to forums like these. Its a bigger shame that there are so many sheep in the States falling for all their nonsense too. Their excuses and reasoning for things can be quite entertaining though. Hundred million Dollar deals cant be made because Eddie Hearn once poked a bit of fun at somebody once upon a time. LOL.

Totally agreed. He will be matched against a load of NABA title level opposition now while claiming to be the best. The only people who buy into it are Americans. Collecting alphabet titles and padding the record is what these PBC fighters are about. Holding out for the lottery ticket, pricing themselves out of tough fights. It got boring very fast.

He's a B+ level fighter who on his best night against the right opponent can pull off an A- level performance. Canelo and the GGG who fought Canelo are a level above him, maybe even Saunders. He's on the same level as a Daniel Jacobs imo. Both are big strong fighters with not so bad fundamentals offensively and good power but they're both predictable and not versatile enough and have defensive flaws that could be exploited by the absolute best fighters.

I still like him and I think he's deserving of a chance and a lot more than Andrade who just talks way too much and hasn't fought anybody in like half a decade.

Yep. Weve seen it all before and you know we are going to see it again. I have nothing really against these Charlo twins, good fighters and their style is not ugly on the eye. But id rather they get chucked in against the best and either prove how good they are or are not than just keep them at arms length from the best and just be told how Charlo is better than them and they are all ducking him.

We will just have to see who they target next for Charlo. But with him being PBC which means he is not tied to Showtime or Fox via any form of contract but will not be allowed to fight on other networks regardless we know how the next year or 2 is going to play out. Lots of talk of people ducking him and they need to cross the street bla bla bla.
