He wasnt hurt nor in immdieate danger, He was defending himself to his abilities. He was trying to win. You only stopped it cause YOU THINK HE CANT WIN, he CHOSE this life let the man try to win and play it out. You should never stop a fight because of limits you assume a fighter can or cant do.
