I'm referring to the 1st fight and, iirc, the 2nd fight could have gone either way.

      Thanks

I figured if a fight fan is going to be so bold as to slam someone's personal list, that slammer should have the decency to post of their own, expert certified list.

Exactly. How are our picks on poll questions not recorded? I think the language and abuse on here would be toned down if everyone’s last ten predictions on big fights were listed. Wed all look a bit more human. People swear their guy is gonna knockout the other easy. But it ends in a draw. Yet somehow they think their opinion is supposed carry weight when they say their guy won by a point? How many fights did Floyd haters predict he’d lose? All these experts bashing people can always bet on fights.

On the betting tip.....Fight fans who know the outcome to every fight refuse to bet real money because of some imagined yet ret@rded, convoluted, self righteous reason

''It's against my moral fiber to keep winning money off of guys hurting themselves !''

I think we disagree on Leonard v Hagler, you think Leonard deserved the nod, I think Hagler did, that probably gives us different opinions on Leonard's ranking.
Which rounds did you give Hagler? I honestly don't see how that one is even controversial...Leonard just won too many rounds too easily because of limited activity from Hagler...Hagler only fought in about 4-5 rounds

I'm a believer that athletes generally get better as time goes on...goes for boxers as well...from a lot of tape I've seen from old-timers...I think most (80%) wouldn't stack up in today's era...obviously with today's training etc maybe they would...I do think some from the past (SRR comes to mind) would compete well in this era or any era, with just a little modern training and coaching.

So I don't hate the list...it is a little favorable to more modern fighters but imo an ATG top ten list just based on ability should always probably favor the more current fighters/athletes...I think some/most on that list are a bit overhyped relative to what they accomplished...but they were all great fighters and proved that in the ring almost every time they stepped into it.

I always chuckle when i see dudes listing fighters from the 1920s who they have never seen live. They read articles or grandpa’s stories and base it off that.

I only list guys who ive seen live. If you didnt live in a certain era, you cant rate those fighters.

Where was your espn classic growing up ? S*** I use to watch the old fights all the time. At Times still do. Reason why my personal list changes at times and normally don’t answer threads like these

ESPN classic Dempsey vs Willard was what made me fall in love with boxing. The sheer speed and ferocity and downright superhuman power of Dempsey... Jesus it still sends a chill down my spine !

                      - -Nancys think Ray won, men thought Marv won.

Ray skipped on the mega lucrative rematch.

End of the day Ray won a political boxing decision, but Marv won the war.
