I feel like they turn very average fighters into borderline stars.
It seems like everyone they have goes on a run, gets a belt, gets exposure and that’s before we even know if they’re good.
Beltran is one of the latest examples. He’s not very good and with another promoter he could have been screwed. But Top Rank built his story, made him popular, got him a belt and eventually another shot at a belt.
I think I would sign with TR if I was worried that I wasn’t the best boxer.
