Coppinger : Kovalev has emerged as clear front-runner to land fight with Canelo.

Sources tell THEAthleticBOX Sergey Kovalev has emerged as clear front-runner to land fight with Canelo Alvarez this fall ahead of GGG and Callum Smith. Canelo-Kovalev would give DAZN a fresh, tantalizing matchup, and if all goes according to plan, Canelo-GGG 3 on DAZN in May ‘20

So Canelo would go up to 175 then come all the way back to 160?? I doubt it. If he goes up and fights Kovalev I think he'd return to 168 but not 160

According to Dazns plan but not Canelo! Canelo is only interested in fighting deserving opponents and he has stated ggg is least deserving

Why would he fight that hot trash Golovkin, Who wouldn't even fight Andrade to get a belt.

Huge balls on Canelo if this happens. Going all the way up to light heavyweight against a big puncher.

Callum Smith let slip that he was told to " prepare for December "

if Smith was Canelo's first pick, they would be fighting in September

the only reason why Canelo would need to move off his September date would be for Andrade, who fights tomorrow

yea, surely Andrade and Smith are both better opponents than Kovalev
