The WBC is the root of all the fighting on this board.
No seriously, every issue that comes up and becomes a fight on NSB is because of the WBC.
That must be a sign of how messed up they are, right?
You don’t believe me? Okay...
The Deontay Wilder-Anthony Joshua debate was only an issue because the WBC let Bermane Stiverne fight Chris Arreola for the title when Wladimir Klitschko was still the best heavyweight. If they gave the title to Klitschko, or at least sanctioned a fight involving someone worthwhile, maybe the fight over that match wouldn’t have been so annoying on this board.
The Dillian Whyte mandatory debate... thanks WBC! Maybe if the WBC Silver title meant something we all wouldn’t be so confused.
I wasn’t reading NSB at the time, but I’m sure there was a debate over Stevenson and Kovalev, so maybe they should have made Stevenson fight mandatories. If that wasn’t an argument on this board, I apologize. I just figured I should mention it here.
The middleweight meltdown on this message board is all completely because of the WBC. The WBC stripped Canelo originally and gave the belt to Golovkin, causing a fight about who was really the middleweight champion on here. That was years ago but we’re still feeling the impact. Now they’re making up belts and letting Canelo avoid mandatories and it’s causing an all out war.
If the WBC just acted normally, everyone here would be respectful towards both those guys and appreciate them both.
The who’s at fault for the lack of unification at welterweight debate falls on the WBC. If they didn’t randomly make a fight between two guys who lost to Keith Thurman for the welterweight title, PBC wouldn’t have Top Rank by the you know what’s. The champs would be Spence, Thurman and Crawford. So if Thurman wanted to fight Pacquiao, the only logical fight for Spence would be Crawford. Thanks for that WBC!!! I can’t wait to see who the best welterweight is in 2025.
Every comment by Amir Khan ignites a spark on this board. He’d be irrelevant if the WBC wasn’t about to rank him in the top 5 for no reason. Thanks WBC.
The who doesn’t want it debate over Lomachenko and Mikey Garcia was caused by the WBC. If the WBC didn’t strip Jorge Linares (he was still Diamond Champion!!!) for no reason, then Garcia would’ve never been a lightweight champion until he fought Robert Easter. That is unless he fought Linares, Lomachenko or for the WBO belt no one cared about. If the WBC acted normally, it would have ended that debate.
I’m not sure if Gary Russell’s activity level is a fight on here but if it is, thanks WBC!
If I forgot to mention anything, please post and I’ll edit to add it in.
