    Like it or lump it

Mike Tyson takes Holyfield and Lewis any day of the week, he was different class!

The only arguments people seem to make are that Holyfield is brave enough to stand up to Tyson, and that Lewis is big enough to stand up to Tyson. But a young Tyson had accuracy and speed to rival Louis, Patterson and Clay, and always moved his head after the last punch of a combo to make a man miss and go again. A young Tyson was much more evasive than anything Holyfield or Lewis have ever seen.

A lot of people don't realise when Tyson's peak was, it was four or five fights before Spinks (before Givens distracted him). He bobbed, he weaved, he could make anybody miss, he could out-jab much taller guys, he had exceptional speed of hand and foot and, let's be honest, bone-crushing power. In his youth he was quite simply the most powerful puncher in the history of boxing, Shavers and Foreman had the heaviness, Patterson and Clay had the 'zilch', but Tyson had both. Marciano used to punch 300lb heavybags to build his power, Tyson was born with it. And he was faster than Marciano with shorter, more accurate blows. He was much faster than the strong Sonny Liston, too. Speed + strength = power.

Holyfield has a small frame, he started out at LHW. Lewis has been knocked out a couple of times.

Tyson in his prime takes these guys out, routinely. Quite simply.

I'm starting to like you more and more.
I agree. Tyson with Rooney would've walked through Lewis and **** Holychamp.

Nobody should ever doubt what Tyson was capable of in his prime, but the way he ended his career has tainted him, which is why people remember an old, slow, one huge punch throwing Tyson.
