Just wondering how Manny's gonna be able to handle thurman's speed and power.

I think Thurman is probably the harder of those mentioned because he has the speed to back it up. Margarito MAY have been heavy handed but do we truly know? He may have been packing bricks for so long that all those accumulative stoppages were because of that.

Floyd had the speed but mostly brittle b!tch hands and obviously didn't dent Pac at all. Thurman had some brutal looking KO's in the past and had the technique behind them. I think he knows how to settle down for power punching a lot better than the other two so I would definitely give it to him.

In a way, it could be a matchup similar to Marquez if Thurman decides to box more and work off counter punching. He's got the speed and power to catch Pac coming in Marquez style. I'm just not sure Pac is as reckless as he used to be since that KO loss. He might avoid coming in that way, especially if Keith does catch him with something that makes Pac think twice about doing something like that.

Cotto most hardest puncher Floyd and Manny faced.

Cotto took away Floyd's nose that night.

          Thurman isn’t a big puncher.

          What’s his best stoppage win?

As soon as his level of competition stepped up, the stoppages went away.

            Floyd’s is Canelo surely.

Manny’s is arguably Cotto or Mosley IMO.

this right here... thurman has respectable power but he's not what some of yall is making him out to be. a ko can happen in this fight whether it's thurman or manny but that doesnt necessarily mean that thurman is a heavy handed fighter. he has good power to make his opponent respect him. he landed some very hard shots on lopez even against porter he landed some hard shots.

                Kinda agree with the analogy.

Broner. Freakin Broner was able to drop Porter. Not even Thurman managed to do that.

Broner planned Porter to tire out. And take him out in the later rounds.

Putting down opponents is more of a skill and strategy than power. When Vargas got dropped by Manny, he wasn't hurt. It was the timing and that ambiguous weaving Manny does, when he's actually countering you.

Ultimately, it's not power that will define the fight, nor speed. I think they may be equal more or less in that respect. It's who has the better skills and strategy during the fight.

Cotto at 140lbs was brutal. No where near the same crippling power at 147lbs that he had at 140lbs. At 140lbs he rearranged almost every fighters face that he fought. He even made that Italian dude Branco quit on the basis of his arm hurting him from taking so many punches there. Paulie had a broken jaw.

Almost every other fight looked like they went through a meat grinder with their face after fighting Cotto there.
