Funny that, now there’s less than a month before the fight and Pac will have finished his cycle. Does anyone believe he's getting tested in the Philippines under whatever provisions the WBA had prior to the more stringest test?

“It should also be noted that Senator Pacquiao is enrolled in the World Boxing Council / Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) 365 24/7 program,” he added.

However, it doesn't necessarily mean they are ever going to be tested. It only means that they are eligible to be tested at random without prior notice or warning between fights.
The WBC requires all of it's boxers who are currently ranked among their top 15 boxers in the world to enroll in the program.

Many boxing fans get the two testing protocols confused. One type of VADA testing is voluntary; In which both fighters agree to enroll and sign up for the testing by paying for it out of their own pockets for an upcoming bout.
The other type of VADA testing is called the "Clean Boxing Program" which is mandatory and sponsored by the WBC. It is often used a prerequisite for any fighter looking to contend for one its title belts.
A fighter must enroll and sign up for the 365 day 24/7 VADA clean boxing program. Which means they can be tested at anytime, without prior notice or prior warning, in order to contend for one of its title belts; Even if they are not in training for an upcoming bout or between fights.
However, there are no guarantees that they will ever be tested at all. Just the mere fact that they are signed up and enrolled in the program itself is enough to satisfy this prerequisite.
This program is covered by the sanctioning fees that the WBC receives from its fighters; Who are currently ranked among the top 15 fighters in the world who wants to contend for one of its titles.

Yesterdays news.
All the Brazilian UFC fighters were doing what Pacquiao is doing until USADA got on the case. Juice in Brazil(Philippines), end cycle, fly to the states for the last month of camp and fight.Last edited by Biolink; 06-27-2019, 04:59 AM.

The days of knowing your fight dates and being able to cycle on and off between should be a thing of the past.
