I'm meh on the trilogy. Canelo vs. Kovalev is a fight worth a fight party.
Canelo is dead set on no GGG fight this year. May 2020 is earliest date possible

Kovalev would be a huge fight. The Canelo haters would tune in hoping he loses.
As a Canelo fan I would be tuning in to see him add another notch on his hall of fame resume.
BBB side can go prove his own worth to DAZN rather than riding Cash Cow Canelo’s coattails.Comment

GGG has nothing to do with this. Damn you guys are re-tarded!
He's after legacy. He wants the 4th weight division. He's not thinking about GGG all the time. He has nothing to do with this.
"ohhhh this means he must be scurred of a dude he clearly beat last fight who is only getting older and slower and looked like shiiit in his last fight...so scurred"

Man the Kovalev fight isn't even signed yet. This thread is about him not wanting to fight Golovkin next. For all we know he could be fighting a Lemieux nextGGG has nothing to do with this. Damn you guys are re-tarded!

I'm pretty sure Danny announced he's moving up to 168 permanently so the fight would have to be at SM. I think it would be a good move for Golovkin since he already beat Jacobs when Jacobs skipped the IBF weight in. At 37 trying to make weight for 160 can't be easy. Forget about Canelo and just move on. He doesn't need to fight Canelo ever again unless it's for revenge because he has a guaranteed contract with DAZN. Just tell Canelo it's this fall at 164 or never and stick to it. I don't like catchweight fights for titles but Canelo doesn't hold a credible title anymore.Last edited by TonyGe; 06-28-2019, 04:56 AM.Comment

- -GGG backing out of fight here.UPDATE
blockquote class="twitter-tweet">Significant momentum for Canelo Alvarez to move up to 175-pounds to face light heavyweight titleholder @KrusherKovalev in September, multiple sources familiar with the situation tell @SInow. No offer at this point, but Canelo has been zeroed in on that fight.
— Chris Mannix (@SIChrisMannix) June 27, 2019Sources tell @TheAthleticBOX that Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo Alvarez are rebuffing attempts to make a trilogy fight with GGG in September. Instead, they want Canelo to fight either Callum Smith or Sergey Kovalev on Sept. 14, with GGG to follow in May 2020

Already backed out of the original rematch, and now the rubber...only in boxing!
