Andre Ward vs Andy Ruiz at HeavyWeight

Could Ward pull off what Roy Jones Jr. did vs the other Ruiz at Heavyweight?

I think Ward would have a very good chance and I don’t see why he wouldn’t come out of retirement for this fight.

Yes. I’ll bet on ward to win against Ruiz and AJ at the moment

        Not against Fury or Wilder

Ruiz is just to big and comes to fight. AJ is 6'6 250lb and ruiz was able to eat his punches and keep moving forward..Ward fights nothing like Roy which was elusive and relied on speed. Ward relies on in fighting and being able to control you in clinches and move you around.

              Ruiz to big to strong

Good post. John Ruiz wasn't a KO puncher either, Andy Ruiz is.

If Ward wasn't retired and still appeared to have several good years left, maybe then I would make the comparison. Ward coming off a 3 year layoff, giving up 40lbs, to face a guy he can't hurt and would ko him with any decent shot isn't anything close to the same as what Jones did. Jones had the perfect opponent to make his move to HW. Ruiz would be completely wrong for Ward though.
