Comments Thread For: Roach Plans To Have Pacquiao Test Thurman in The First Round

Freddie Roach, who trains eight division king Manny Pacquiao, is not convinced that Keith Thurman is the same fighter that he was two years ago. Thurman snapped a two-year layoff back in January, and put in a very lackluster performance against heavy underdog Josesito Lopez. Thurman was hurt badly during the contest.

Pacquiao was brutally beaten by a school teacher. Now he's facing Thurman, who isnt a school teacher, but a professional boxer.

    smh.

Roach has no shame. I remember when Roach said he would tell his buddy when it's time to hang em up.

    smh

It's obvious thurman is the same otherwise he wouldn't sound so confident.
Don't make too much of thurman last performance as thurman probably thought he'd beat lopez needing only one training session a week.
Thurman a young lion, stop making excuses that he had injuries?. So Pac didn't have injuries now?

Brutally? Are you a neophyte? You probably think Tim Bradley won the first fight against Pac too. Watch it again and look at Ted Atlas reaction on YouTube. He’s not a PAC fan but he he knows that was typical hometown robbery.:smileysex

Thurman looked shot in his last fight. Pacquiao cherrypicked him because of that.

Floyd ducked thurman so Pac s doing what Floyd wasn't willing to do at 36. whilst still active and considered best fought berto. Cherry picking is what Floyd excelled at. Pac s not mastered it Cherry picking young lion at 40
Floyd bloated jmm up cherrypicked green nelo. That wasn't enough and Floyd was still nervous, so as back up needed cw also for good measure
