Don't know why Castano would decline it. He already beat him once. Or maybe that's the reason
It's because Soro refused to have VADA testing for the fight, Castano has all rights to turn down that offer.

Basically this. But Lara been insinuating fighting at 160 long ago. If he felt he was robbed by Canelo he could’ve been tried chasing Canelo again or Lara’s beef continued with Andrade. Or let’s not forget, Lara wanted GGG when he had all the belts.

So Lara just playing and being tricked by Haymon to stay at 154 as a gatekeeper.

Weren’t we going to get Lara vs Jrock at one point?

PBC’s design matchmaking and scheduling seems obvious at many times for the security to still stay in business. Too bad Lara can’t think for himself and chase the guys he wanted at 160.

Did you not read the article?
He struggled to get paid last time they fought,...
He had to take Soro's promoter to court in order to get paid last time they fought and he don't wanna go thru the same bullshet again.
            Can't say I blame him .

It's not only that they wouldn't put his earnings in an escrow for this fight but the refusal of Soro to undertake VADA testing too, there was no sane way Castano would've agreed to this.

If Castano pulled out then so will Lara! Nobody is going to be cool with having to sue to get paid! "Show me the money!"

Does the WBA not have rules about purse money having to be put in an escrow account? If not they should.

Fighter pay should not be something that promoters can dick around with.

Also I hope Lara insists on VADA testing for the fight. The WBA Fair Boxing Program should automatically kick in but apparently that's nothing but a joke at this point.

Castano need to sign with the PBC now that you not in the WBA go after the WBC belt
