Will Andy Ruiz Jr. be the next Buster Douglas?

Alright don't get up in arms about it, I'm not saying that's the case, but it actually could be.

    What if:

    - He get's KTFO by AJ in the rematch and never reaches the championship again?

    - He get's past AJ in the rematch only to get crushed by Wilder, schooled by Fury, or outworked by Parker.

    - He get's taken out but the likes of Pulev, Whyte, or Ortiz?

As Andy showed us, ANYTHING can happen in the fight game, especially at that weight division. One good shot can shake up the world.

So what say you? Is he here for the long run? or does he go down hard and never return like Buster did?

*Don't think I'm a hater on the champ, he shocked the world, and he's a total stud. I'm just posing the question, and it's a valid one.

Douglas quite training hard and tryimg to be his best. He was an under achiever. Ruiz is not like that. If he loses he will put up a good fight.

I think his story will be similar. I think it'll be harder for him to go south as quickly & as badly as Buster did, but I put his over/under on title defenses at 2.5 & I'm sticking with that. If Usyk gets pushed on Ruiz if he repeats his W over Joshua I think he's done right right there.

As someone mentioned already, the key will be how he trains from here on out. Based off the AJ fight and even his loss to Parker, he won't be an easy out for anyone, if he comes to fight.

Usyk has a better chin than AJ? Ruiz will land big on Usyk eventually.

A lot of people that were waiting and hoping for AJ to finally lose came out of the woodwork to chit all over him, but they'll sing a different tune a few days before the rematch and hedge their bets on AJ.

AJ finishes Ruiz in the rematch and goes back to being the #1 HW in most people's eyes is what I'm predicting. Fan or not AJ clearly looked different that night before the bell even rang.

Unbelievable!!! A slightly controversial idea, opposing viewpoints,....... and a fight didn't break out?!! You guys rock!!

We'll see soon enough, with the rematch coming, we'll see if he can get past that hurdle, but we won't really know if it was a case of Andy the kickAssKing or AJ the Exposed until he defends it against the other forces in the division.
