It's in the middle of the pack for all live sports
Once again this clown trying to mislead...LMAO first it's not middle of the pack. Because that list is all live sports for the entire week and includes Cable TV and non prime time events. No shyt if you count every sport even if it's on a cable TV not as accessible to FOX and even events that aired middle of the week and daytime. FOX is not cable TV and this aired during primetime not 9AM like Horse Racing on NBC which according to that list still drew 1.1M viewers at 9AM while PBC during the prime time the most coveted window on TV that draws more ratings then you do at 9AM and PBC only did 1.2M. Why you jumping through hoops only wanting to look at the best 10 Mins of the broadcast or only want to compare to ratings outside of Network TV and bringing up daytime ratings and on cable tv? It's really pretty simple they even give you a dummy proof grid for how these ratings stack up to actual Network ratings (not cable tv) and during it's same prime time slot. How did PBC stack up?
DAZN is a growing streaming service. Of course they wont be able to get similar numbers currently.
When Netflix launched, it would have been a bad comparison to directly compare network numbers with Netflix numbers, especially when it hasnt even been 1 year since they started.
So, yeah, 1.8 million is more than what DAZN is getting currently, but in terms of getting ratings for FOX. Are they doing bad or good?
Cant you see it from both perspectives? It doesn't always have to be Anti-DAZN and pro-PBC at all cost.
I've clearly stated the reasons I'm anti-DAZN. Putting a niche sport on a niche app is bad for boxing. Nobody can refute that.
I've yet to hear from the anti-PBC folks why they hate PBC. I guess they think bringing the sport to the masses is a bad thing.
Her fight came in supporting capacity to Tyson Fury’s heavily promoted Las Vegas debut. The attention from his headlining act—which streamed live on ESPN+—trickled down to her own televised headliner atop the ESPN2 lead-in telecast, which peaked at more than 800,000 viewers for her latest win
This idiot pretending he don't know the difference between Network TV ratings and Subsciption based or PPVs. By this logic both Spence and Pacquio fights were major fails since combined they didn't have 800K buys. They ain't bringing those fights to the masses lol
Did more people see Charlo fight or did more people see Canelo fight?
If that’s the main criteria for you then remember that all of Canelo’s fights are shown for free in Mexico so many more millions of people saw Canelo vs this PBC on Fox.
Your trying too hard homie.

I'm using the biggest star in boxing make a point. So if more people are Charlo than Canelo imagine the low streams the other fighters are getting. Like Haney. He was flabbergasted that his KO wasn't being talked about like Wilder's. Nobody saw his KO. He's making a lot of money but he has to realize he's giving up a lot of exposure.

But it doesn't have to be a niche-app if there wouldnt be that much resistance to it. DAZN has a long way to go, but it's clear that they have ambitions to become a global player and ultimately become the mainstream way to consume live sports.
I'm not saying they will make it to this point, but if people keep being averse to technological change and have this unreasonable hate towards DAZN, it becomes less likely that they will succeed.
Netflix, smartphones, laptops have all been at one point niche articles, but succeeded.
A successful DAZN is a good thing for boxing.
Lastly, for fans who are not from the US, DAZN is actually a blessing. Germany rarely showed any international boxing cards in the past until DAZN showed up. DAZN Germany shows all the US DAZN boxing cards, DAZN italy cards and they buy streaming rights for Showtime cards and that is a good thing for boxing. Nowadays, people asked me about the next GGG, Joshua, Lomachenko, Wilder fight, which never would have happened before.
If boxing proves to be a successful endeavor for DAZN, they will probably produce more boxing content in the countries they operate (similar to Italy) and these fights concurrently will be available for all dazn markets.
Concerning your second point. I felt pretty postively, but then negatively about PBC when they launched. Much more boxing under one umbrella, great.
But a lot of the more prominent boxers didnt box often enough, a lot of mismatches early on, while having the biggest stable, there was no head figure who talked about PBC's future plans, so fights just randomly got announced.
Currently, PBC delivers consistently good fights though. So no criticism from me.

Being ambitious doesn't mean it's a good thing. DAZN only has themselves to blame for their lack of market penetration.

Putting $75 fights on anything for $10 a month is good for us fans.
The PBC meanwhile is starting to gouge us every month for any half decent fight they put together with a household name in it.
Be a fan of whatever you want but PBC ain't doing **** for boxing either...
