Of course Margarito wants the fight and Arum does too. Taking the fight is a no lose situation for Margarito and a no-win situation for Floyd. If Margarito loses everyone will say he was overrated/untested. If he wins then he gets to put Floyd's name on his beaten list which makes him the man at 147. Arum knows this could be his last fight with Margarito because the contract is up after the next fight so of course he wants him to fight Floyd... more exposure and money in the future.

I'm not hating on Floyd and I'm still hoping that this fight would happen.

Wishing that this issue be settled is not hating dude. It's just getting real.

I don't care how you or other people think how Floyd will make Margarito look like a fool inside the ring, that remains to be seen and that's exactly why this fight should happen.

If Margarito loses, life goes on for everybody and I'm not gonna lose sleep

It's just that Floyd needs to man up and prove he is the number 1 p4p in the planet by fighting worthy opponents who present themselves, otherwise he should goddam vacate that title.

Exactly. Plus why should he fight Margarito right now? People want to see him fight THE BEST. If they really wanted the best they would be pushing for him to fight Winky Wright or Pacquiao or somebody else high on the p4p list.

excellent comeback pbf has vacted the title the IBF that is. DLY I feel you man the hate is bordering on religious zealotry for some of these guys. You would swear pbf was the second coming of satan to some of them. The primary motivator for the haters is jealousy. They can't stand that pbf is the best fighter. Margarito has been around for years so why is he not fighting on hbo? where is oscar and shane?

I think pbf is going to by pass oscar and shane and focus on fighting Spinks and Winky next year if Oscar and shane keep palying running scared

All the critics can talk about now is Margarito but yet a little while ago no one talked much about him. Then when he looked other places again, it turned into "Margarito will kill him and Floyd knows that". There's alot of people now saying that Floyd is scared of Margarito and that Margarito will beat Floyd but more then half of the people who are picking Margarito wouldnt have even picked him not too long ago. There just picking him now because Floyd turned him down and this has picked up steam but when Floyd takes the fight then you cant back down from what you said and you will feel dumb when its over.

I cant think of one single case in boxing history when a guy has done so little but has been hyped so much to get a big fight like he has really done something to deserve it. Thats the hate Floyd gets. People act like Floyd has been fighting bums but that is not true. He still have been fighting very solid guys in Zab, Mitchell, N'Dou, and Gatti. There is no one that is going to tell me that is not a solid list. If Margarito had that list then everyone would have him in the top 5 pound for pound. Even with that list Floyd still tried all he could to get a fight with Hatton, Oscar, and Mosley but no one cares. If any other fighter had challenged all those guys to a fight and they said no then people would say that guy was the most feared man in boxing.

Floyd is scared of Margarito but yet right now he is trying so hard to get a fight with Oscar & Shane? 2 guys who are tougher fights then Margarito and have done much more in the sport. I talked about all those guys who have ducked Floyd but then some come back by saying, "how can you say everyone is ducking him when Margarito has been wanted to fight him"?

I respond by saying, SO! How the **** does that make him special? Sure Margarito wants to fight Floyd but who has he fought or beat? There are alot of guys like Augustus, Mesquita, and a bunch of nobodies that want to or will fight Floyd because they have nothing and havent done anything. The real guys who have done something dont want to fight Floyd. Sure Margarito will fight him because he can go straight to the top but he probally wouldnt even want to fight Floyd if he has beaten other good fighters. He has no other choice but to fight Floyd but you dont see him running to fight Callazo or anyone else like that?

Hatton hasnt fought anyone all his life and gets one win over Tszyu but no one says anything about him. He has even publicly doged Floyd. Cotto hasnt fought any big names but no one says anything. Floyd is always different. The bottom line is soon he will pick Margarito and then all of the opinions will start to change and people will start backing off there predictions. Its still funny to me how people can even clown Floyd for fighting Spinks who has done so much but they want him to fight Margarito who has done nothing. Spinks has wins over Mayorga, Zab, & Karmazin but yet he is a joke opponent compared to Margarito? Why, because he beat Cintron? Joke

Relax Tampax!!! You say that Floyd has been trying so hard to get a fight with Oscar and Mosley. Of course he is trying to get a fight with Oscar, along with everyone else in boxing. He wants that payday. Oscar is being smart waiting to fight until next year. He has some injuries that he would like to heal. Remember Oscar isn't as young as he used to be. I would love to see that fight right now, but I am willing to wait until next year when they are both at ther best and in shape and not have Oscar fight in half ass condition. Oscar is not runniung from Floyd. He has fought all the biggest names in the sport cosistantly, not to mention moving up to fight B-Hop when B-Hop was red hot and knowing that he had no business at middleweight. Your gonna try to tell me he is running from Floyd PLEASE!!!!!!! He wants to be as close to 100% as possible before the biggest fight of his life. You cant'fault him for that. Let's not forget Floyd needs Oscar, not the other way around.

Onto mosley. Floyd didn't start talking about Shane until the heat with Margarito was on. It would be ****** of Shane to try and rush back down to welter and take this fight in 3 months. Once again It's not like Shane is as young as he used to be either. Besides Shane said that as soon as Floyd mentioned his name about not fighting until next year. Shane also has never backed down from anyone. **** he moved up to fight Winky twice. Winky that just pushed Taylor to the limit and arguably won that fight. There is nothing wrong with him wanting to wait until next year and get reaquainted with the weight. It's ****** to think that Shane would move down to welter in that period of time and not be affected at his age.

Now Hatton. I will give you Hatton has fought a bunch of bums, but he did take on Tsyzu when Tsyzu was still the man. Oh beleive me, I was rooting for Tsyzu in that one but as much as I didn't want to I have to give Hatton props for that. Also he took on Massau in an attempt to unify that division and granted Massau isn't what we consider one of the elite fighters in boxing but he is no slouch. You have to respect the fact that he made an attempt to unify the division, that is always good for boxing. I am not a Hatton fan, but I have to give him some props. He moved to welter and took on a very tough and bigger stronger fighter in Collazo when it obviously looks like welter isn't a good weight for him.Floyd did move up and fight Zab, but coming off the loss to Baldomir (a guy with 9 losses) doesn't mean as much. Zab has always had the talent, but mentally he has never been there and has always melted down in big fights. The only chance Zab had was to land that one home run punch. Losing to Baldomir on the verge of the biggest fight and payday of his life tells you a little about his focus and menatl let downs. Zab has always been overrated, yet he still manages to get big fights, talk about someone who doesn't deserve to continuosly be given these oppurtunities. All the talent in the world doesn't mean anything if you can't put it together mentally.

The media and the fans are overdoing it, however, Floyd is pretty much antagonizing them into doing so by not fighting worthy challengers. After Judah lost to Mayweather, there's no way that fight should have been made. If Floyd fights Spinks instead of Margarito, I will be shocked.
