Haha I love the thread title.
If Manny and Keith don't care about VADA testing why do you care so much?

Hey it's an even level playing field at least. Let them f#k eachother up. Want to see Povetkin Vs Ortiz all roided up next!Comment

WBC is doing so much good work that they allowed Ortiz, who failed multiple PED tests to fight for their title a few months after he popped dirty lmao. They are scumbags like every organisation. IBF seem to be the only one who aren't THAT corruptBecause it just encourages drug use. It's a slippery slope. I look at it this way. The winner needs an opponent but he doesn't want to do VADA because he wants to use PEDS. He finds someone that doesn't want to do PEDS but is broke. They agree because the other needs the money and it snowballs. The only way this is going to stop is if the Commission yanks their licence to box or broadcasters refuse to air fights unless there is VADA testing for at least the top fighters. The WBC is trying to do something right here. Boxing is already on a downslide. Getting caught cheating isn't going to help. If you want to watch the fight that's your business. It's obvious to me they are both going to cheat.Comment

It's a crappy situation. OP's implication is that if both fighters are cheating, all is fair, let them go at it. But even if you take this view, what if one of them isn't cheating? You may as well hand the other a knuckle duster.
As a fan of the sport you're looking for peace of mind that there's a fair contest, a level playing field. To know what you're watching is real, genuine sporting contest. You want to know who is the best, and physically that security is only provided by random drug testing.
Unfortunately this fight won't have it so for many there will be shouts of cheat if one fighter gets knocked out. It just taints the whole thing.Comment

Keep the fake outrage out of this. If both fighters want to fight without any tests, screw the commissions and the BS belt orgs.
It's the fighters' choice.Comment

They should all juice equally, if they want, and the caliber between the boxers is close. Don't juice against a no hoper.Comment

Good post. This is what happens when someone makes a thread without having thought about it before. Cobra acts like Pacquiao and Thurman own and regulate Boxing and that if both decide that not having VADA testing is acceptable, then it is. Since when are athletes the ones who decide whether or not there will be drug testing? In which sport does that happen? None. Imagine in Cycling, 200 riders: "Oh we have reached and agreement, no testing for two months, we're all okay with this. Screw the fans. Thank you".It's a crappy situation. OP's implication is that if both fighters are cheating, all is fair, let them go at it. But even if you take this view, what if one of them isn't cheating? You may as well hand the other a knuckle duster.

VADA testing should become the norm in Boxing and those who refuse to be tested by this agency should be seriously suspected and taken off sanctioning bodies' rankings. Nobody cares if the fighters themselves want it or not.Comment

It's hypocritical for people to criticise this fight for lack of VADA testing when so many fights/fighters don't use it.
I don't recall anyone criticising confirmed drug cheats like Miller, Povetkin and Ortiz for the lack of VADA testing for most of their fights. Even worse, in my opinion, when they were usually against opponents who were already overmatched.Comment
