While still beating up the current Hugo Centeno.
in his defense he was a late replacement. They actually deliberated and thought rolls and shwartz were good enough lol

He gave Parker a good fight...who gave Joshua a good fight...in hindsight Ruiz probably wasn't as bad as we all thought going in...bad matchup for Joshua in a lot of ways as well...compared to a Breazeale who is made for Joshua or Wilder

Breazeale was kind of tailor made for Wilder but with the beef they had I didn't mind that fight...but gave Breazeale almost 0 shot in that matchup.

I don't know much about Schwartz and I would have much rather seen GGG in with a top 3-5 guy at MW or SMW...especially with only a few fights left in his career...I never heard of Rolls going in to that one.

But he is 8 in IBF rankings and 15 in WBC...I thought he looked OK in there as well, just not enough punching power or punch resistance to really be competitive.

I don't think any of those guys were absolutely terrible...even throwing in Fielding for Canelo or Ruiz for Joshua if we really want to include all of those types of fights.

4 - Wilder and Breazeale had history - and while Breazeale is tailor made for Wilder imo...he has shown to be a solid heavyweight and it wasn't a bad stay busy fight for Wilder. Also got him out of there in 1 round as I think he should with a matchup like that.

3 - Cota is pretty bad...but in Jermell's defense he is a late replacement...I actually don't even think Cota is BAD per se...he just is too weak to really compete at the top level and against an athlete like Jermell it was only going to end one way, once Jermell got a straight right hand on him.

2 - GGG-Rolls...Rolls really isn't even that bad...not sure why all the talk of him being number 100 or whatever caught on but he is ranked 8 and 15 by the WBO and IBF...he came to fight and did OK...that fight just showed there are levels to boxing and Steve isn't on the top level...so not a terrible fight but with GGG aging and some much better fights out there, it gets number 2 on the list.

1 - Fury Schwartz - not sure if Schwartz is even that bad...just had never heard of him going into that fight...honestly I think 1-4 of these options, along with Canelo Fielding are all close.

That is to say that they are all tune up fights and we expect/hope the next couple fights for each guy are much better.

Has to be Jermell with Mota Cota.

Breazeale-Schwarz are on the same level.

Rolls didn't look like a bad fighter as unknown as he was.

It sounds like some people took into consideration how the fights played out. I didn't look at it like that, but rather as selection of opponents. With that in mind, I looked at who had the widest gap between their selected opponent, and that seems to be GGG with Steve Rolls. They may have bumped him up a couple days before the fight, but at the time of making the fight, Rolls was like 70 something, and had only been in a scheduled 10 rounder, ONCE in his entire career.
Schwarz was slightly higher, albeit in a weaker division.

And there pops his credibility from this thread. Not only calling an ex unified world champ a bum but cant even give the man who beat him any credit either. Calls him a fat ass. Sounds like the talk of a casual.
