    Gives Thurman a built-in excuse. It's brilliant.

It's funny though, there was no VADA testing for Pac/Horn, yet we saw how that went, but there was no VADA testing (or any testing) for Pac/Matthysse and we saw how that went. So maybe whatever he's taking isn't as effective anymore unless his opponent is completely washed?

In which case, I still go with Thurman for the decision OR a controversial draw to set up a rematch.

There was no USADA or VADA testing for the Matthysse fight either. This is strange because the WBA has a clean boxing program that all champions must adhere to.

I guess PBC and Haymon are making Manny look good as he possibly can to set up a PPV with Spence. For casual fans to think Manny has a chance to win he has to come into the fight looking like a dominant fighter. No VADA testing surely allows him to achieve that.

Maybe we should all boycott the fight since there is no VADA/USADA testing.

And you mentioned absolutely nothing about the independent lab's activity in these matters. So the lab was paid off to do what? Send false results to WADA? So USADA was bought off and the lab was bought off, too? This conspiracy theory is getting deep, bro!

It's correct that WADA did not oversee the testing for the Mayweather bout, but USADA did. And USADA is a signatory of WADA. Therefore, USADA has to follow WADA's rules.

Here's a statement from a WADA spokesperson on whether any rules were broken. Clearly the last sentence indicates that USADA is bound to the WADA code.

Had USADA broke any of WADA's rules, they would be in violation of the WADA code.

And no, it did not have to be in a hospital. If he was in a hospital, he wouldn't need a TUE at all.
VADA informs about positive tests promoters and state athletic commission in charge of the fight.

USADA only informs promoters but NOT state ACs.

The question is who they inform outside their organizations.

          Draw what conclusions you will
I heard that there wasn't VADA on Thurman vs Garcia. What conclusion were you talking about again?

In the Mayeather/Pacquiao fight, it was added to the contract that USADA would inform the athletic commission as well as the opponent, which is exactly what occurred.

So unless there is a problem with the testing for some other fight, I don't see what the issue is. And again, the independent lab also reports the findings to WADA.

But I'm not even sure if what you are saying is accurate because it doesn't line up with what has been done in the past.

For example, the New York State Athletic Commission was certainly contacted when Morales popped. There was a discussion of it by USADA when they addressed Thomas Hauser.

By [October 18th], both fighters, the promoter, and the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) had already all been advised by USADA of Mr. Morales' positive test.

The results had also already been reported to WADA by sample number directly by the laboratory.

So you have USADA revealing the findings to all parties above, and the lab revealing the results to WADA.
