Bare knuckle boxing is safer than boxing with gloves.

If you understand the science behind boxing gloves you know that they help spread damage since there is more surface area. Whereas with bare knuckles, you have to be more precise with your punches to do damage. Once again Boxing proves to be the best sport in the world.

If the damage is spread that makes it less psi, making boxing safer.

I'm failing to follow your logic. It sounds, to me, like you're saying 'basketball would be a better sporting if the rim were bigger'.

Boxing is the best sport, though the referees and judges try their hardest to make it the worst.

Paulie vs Conor has to happen though, in boxing of course. If Paulie is as easy as Conor says he is then it should be a very easy payday for him and great for the fans, lots of trash talk.

It’s a good idea if you want to break your hands and disfigure your face each time you fight

If it was safer they would not have outlawed it well over 100 years ago. A bare fist is much harder and does more damage.

Agree. Its not about how hard you get hit at a certain level. Its how often you get hit. And the gloves injury the damage is there, but limited thus you are taking more damage then you do in sports with smaller gloves.

Or its better to get your lights turned off in one exchange than to get your lights turned off or flickered a few times & maybe or maybe not get them turned off completely eventually.

To speculate a little on the future with the medical knowledge we already got about brain damage I suspect boxing rules will change eventually. Boxers probably shouldn't be allowed to recover when they get f#cked up. Once you get dropped & you are groggy it should be over & I suspect they'll be rule changes towards that end sooner or later cuz it makes all the sense in the world for fighters health & safety.

Perception. A barefist hits harder but you will not hit as hard with your bare fist.

If someone asked you to punch a brick wall with or without a boxing glove on which one would you swing harder with?

A bareknuckle boxer is pretty much physically incapable of punching as hard unless he wants his fist shattering after the first shot.

It looks bloodier because of the superficial facial cuts but I guarantee you AJ in his loss to Ruiz with those concussion hits took more long lasting damage than Paulie, despite AJ still looking pretty on the outside after the fight.

this is nonsense. just look at Paulie's face. barely got hit flush yet was leaking like a faucet with a nasty gash. bare knuckles are like sharpened rocks. gloves are safer. take a look at the wild punches Maidana was swinging vs Floyd in their first fight. if that was bare knuckle Floyd would've been drenched in blood.
