Id like to see him light Spence up, I feel Errol will run him over.

Pacquiao made more money fighting Matthysse than Spence, Crawford and Thurman combined fighting one fight. He also won the WBA regular belt so it’s not irrelevant. He made a total of $20 million vs Broner and now he’s fighting for the WBA unification so it’s not irrelevant either.

He’s guaranteed to make at least $20 million against Thurman and if he beats Thurman, you could expect him to make at least $30 million in his next fight and at least 3 times as much if it’s the Mayweather rematch.

I am not sure how you misunderstood my question so without insulting you, let me rephrase. Just use logic and facts to respond:

We all know that PAC will always make more money than any other fighter not named Floyd so the question is why fight Mathysse who had not fought in two years? Why not fight a true WW boxer in the top 5?
Why fight Broner who had lost his last 4 fights?

My question is not limited to the last two years?
That’s what PAC has done the last 8 years?
Can you honestly justify or explain Brandon Rios?? He had just lost to Mike Alvarado and was moving up two weight classes?
Or Mosley who had literally just lost to Floyd?
I mean I can go on but you’ll mention Bob Arum.

The point I make is the same today as it was 8 years ago

When he left Arum, he dumped Roach too and he had an offer from rich Malaysian financiers to fight in Malaysia. He was co promoting his own fight with De La Hoya so the Matthysse fight was offered to him which was approved by the Malaysian financiers because Matthysse was a knockout artist and they were looking for action packed fight. A lot of boxing fans here were predicting Matthysse to brutally knock Pac out and didn’t believe Buboy would do a good job as a coach and we all saw what happened.

The Broner fight was a part of the deal when he signed up with Haymon, it was suggested to him by Mayweather when they met in the Philippines and it will be followed with big ones, as you can see he’s fighting Thurman for the WBA unification, that’s why I said the Broner fight was not irrelevant because he had to do it first, it’s a part of the deal, he was paid good money and it’s a tuneup fight before the big ones including a possible rematch with Mayweather.
