    Well, #1 does = #1 contender, it just doesn't = mandatory contender.

That's being hard done by no matter how little you like Dillian you gotta see that.
Being the #1 rated contender is supposed to all but guarantee a final eliminator. Winning a final eliminator is supposed to all but guarantee a title shot. Whyte has been trying to skip a crucial step.

Breazeale was supposed to fight Stiverne with Stiverne's mandatory status on the line. Ortiz got nixed, Stiverne moved into his spot, leaving Breazeale with the right to fight the highest available fighter, which ended up being Molina.

Except he didn't. He chose Rivas, even though there were fighters rated higher than Rivas willing to fight him. That's the difference. You don't get to choose who you fight in your final eliminator. You're supposed to fight the highest rated guy willing to fight you. Whyte for whatever reason refuses to do that and that's why he's never become the mandatory.

Another good example of the WBC allowing a belt to be held hostage by a PBC fighter. PBC is to the WBC what Arum and Frank Warren are to the WBO. Let's just be honest

the #1 contender isn't supposed to fight in an eliminator if they remain #1 long enough... they're supposed to be called to a mandatory and the WBC said Breazeale - Molina wasn't going to be a mandatory eliminator ever. Whyte - Helenius was a stronger and better ranked fight for them. You're making excuses for blatant corruption. C'mon why are you defending the WBC, the worst sanctioning body around as of today.

Alvarez took step aside money a few times. That’s been documented. It’s why nobody complained about Alvarez waiting.

The only reason they are defending this blatant corruption either has to do with backing their man (Wilder) or they can’t comprehend the little details. They think talking about Whyte ducking another organisation’s Final eliminator = He ducked the WBC final eliminator. These guys are the worse fans that I have ever come across, not even fanboys of Pacman, Cotto etc would defend a corrupt organisation like the WBC over an boxer.... This lot would doe.

I'm shocked with people who don't call this out on all fronts. The WBC and WBO are now the properties of certain promotions and its pretty well known. The only way to wrest the belts from them is to douse them in cash or hopefully manage to legally gain the precedent to be mandatory. Shouldn't they be excommunicated or arrested for this at some point?

That's incorrect. The #1 contender is supposed to lose their rating if they refuse to fight a final eliminator. It's only because Hearn has so much clout that Whyte has been able to keep his rating while refusing to fight a final eliminator.

I wouldn't think so seeing as he's defended his Silver belt against top 10 opponents consistently whereas corruption had #4 rated Breazeale face a Molina who I don't even know what he was rated as it was that low. Why weren't any of Dillian fights allowed to be a final eliminator and why was he only offered a secondary eliminator against Ortiz and decided to bail on the Breazeale one? Breazeale was told he'd fight a final eliminator but he didn't fight it, he was just given the spot over Whyte to keep the gravy train ticking along.
