He’d have been 18-19 it covers his journey from signing his first professional contract through his first few fights. It also follows Cam Awesome trying to qualify for the 2016 Olympics and Peter Quillin’s journey back from his layoff which culminates in the Danny Jacobs fight. It’s a good watch tbf, I liked how it covered different levels and layers of the sport. I hope they make a second one. Will need to check out that doc, how old was he then?1st time I seen him was not sure he had the pop and the fire to get respect at top level but he has seemed to mature physically since then. Maybe he needs to mature phyc also, but the kid has the tools to become VERY good if he has the intangibles.
And yeah Colbert definitely has potential. I’ve followed his career for a while and his performance against Briones was by far his best. I mean Briones is a little washed but Colbert showed good punch variety and as you say started to show some pop. I think his best shot is his jab, it’s very sharp and snappy. From that southpaw stance it can be a real weapon.Comment
