Pac vs JMM 1 was a robbery

Haven't watched this fight in while. Recently since i had time and never really watched it properly with scoring i sat down to watch it and wow this was a robbery.

Manny starts out strong 10-6. From that moment i thought this was gonna be a schooling from here on cause im thinking about how many people saying JMM won this but as the fight went on this was nothing close to that.

The middle rounds had some close rounds but Manny landed the harder shots and JMM was on his Salido mode all fight, so many low blows yet nothing said from the ref.

    I had Manny winning 1,2,6,7,8,9,10,12 w/3 kds

The one judge gave JMM 115-110 lol one of the worst cards i seen and another only gave Pac a 10-7 in the 1st.

    There should've been a 3 kd rule

Well one of the judges made a mistake in scoring in the first round so yes he should have won

Yep, one of the judges turned in an incorrect scorecard. If he hadn't of made that mistake it would of been an official win for Pacquiao.

The one judge definitely messed up by not scoring it 10-6 in the 1st round, which would've given Manny the win. but JMM won the fight form there on clearly.

It wasn't a robbery. It was a very close fight which could have gone either way. All in all a draw was a fair decision.

I rewatched the fight quite recently and scored it 113-112 for Pacquiao, though a couple of rounds were very close and difficult to score thus making a different result perfectly feasible.

Though I do agree with the sentiment that Pacquiao did better in this fight than people seem to remember. It was a great fight, tactical yet action packed and competitively fought throughout. People who think that Marquez put on a dominant masterclass after the first round are buying into a myth. Of the three fights between the pair which went to the judges, this is the one Pacquiao can most lay claim to having won.

And rob us of one of the most memorable comebacks of all time and one of the best fights of the past twenty years? What kind of so-called boxing fan would even suggest something like that? The very fact that Marquez was able to find his way back into the fight and make it so close is proof that they were absolutely correct not to have the three knockdown rule in effect. It's an arbitrary rule which does not reflect how hurt a fighter is or whether or not they are able to continue. That should be (and thankfully was, in this case) left to the referee's discretion.

If guy that didn't know the 10-6 thing was that inexperienced that he didn't know how to score a 3 knockdown round, how can you really trust his scorecard for the rest of the fight.

if he didn't know he could score a round 10-6, you can't trust him to interpret the rest of the fight the right way, either.
