His professional record was 7-0 with 6 KO's. That's pretty damn impressive. A shame his career was cut short.

Any chance he would have reached the very top in the heavyweight division?

He'd probably been lucky to reach the top 50 on boxrec with favorable matchmaking. Believe he damn near got beat in one of his bs fights as is.

Great guy from most accounts doe so RIP to the man, but he was a great backyard boxer & a pretty basic & beatable in the ring boxer.

Getting 6 KOs against guys whose records read: 0-1, 2-3, 0-1, debut, etc is not impressive at all.

He was a viral internet phenomenon who punched hard. Would have been KO'd by the first guy with a winning record he faced.

He would have gone nowhere. As previously stated...he nearly got beat... by a real life cab driver in Australia. He was a circus that someone tried to make some promotional dollars from...but in terms of legitimate world class boxing...he wouldn't stand a chance. Nice fella though I guess...so no dancing on his grave.

yes. power alone would have him in the top 10. his skills would have got him a world title. i do not think he would have been the best, but def top 3. he would have wrecked ruiz put it that way.

Have you seen his backyard fights though? He was destroying those dudes pretty easily. It's not like they were punching bags either. Some of those dudes really came to fight.

He was terrible. Had no business as a boxer. Any decent journeyman would have beaten him easily.
I like Kimbo, RIP. But boxing wasn’t for him...

Yea...just not as easily as say if David Haye fought someone in their backyard. I'm not saying he couldn't fight. I'm just saying he wouldn't have been very successful at a professional boxing career over the long term.

if kimbo had proper training early on, he could have been a threat... but at the age where he decided to start doing mma, etc. it was already too late by then.
