Comments Thread For: Ilunga Makabu Stops Dmitry Kudryashov in Fifth of Fierce Fire Fight

Russia - Quantum mechanics be damned (for there's undisputed and undefeated boxing mechanics), there are certain things one should expect, and others - one should not. With a combined record of 47 wins (46 by KO) and 4 losses (all four by stoppages), no one expected the fight between Ilunga Makabu and Dmitry Kudryashov, two of the sport's most vaunted gunslingers, to last even till the mid-point.

Just watched the replay, great fight as expected. Near dual KD in the 2nd rd was amazing!! Makabu showed a great chin standing up to Kudryashov's shots and battering him into submission. Kudryashov's face was so bashed up by the end of the fight, he looked like a beast from some kinda hell dimension

Kudryashov has shown time and again to be a real phenomenon. In fact he wears a long beard without having a chin.

The fight was pretty one sided and Mukaba put a beating on him.

Kudryashov buzzed him a couple times but never did any serious damage. Mukabu worked him over on the ropes. Good win.

Referee did an outstanding job. Kudra was paying an huge price and had run out of gas, it was only going to end one way. Really good stoppage.

Great fight with both hurt, but in the end Makabu gave him a bit of a beating.

Time for Kudryashov/Golovaschenko. Since the WBC didn't sanction that bonkers Briedis/Glowacki fight yesterday, I think they should order Makabu/Glowacki for the vacant title and keep Briedis as the Silver champ or whatever, setting him up to fight the winner later if he should beat Dorticos
