It goes both ways. Abel Sanchez, formerly idolized by many, now he's the enemy. People loved him when he was giving interviews left and right and had an opinion just about anyone or anything that what going on in Boxing. People loved him when he was talking smack about Andre Ward. Now people hate him for behaving the same way.
This is a strange place. All of a sudden

I actually never liked Abel too much and I think he was the reason for the Flak Golovkin was getting at one point or another. It goes both ways. Anyone else hires a new trainer and it's ok with you. GGG hires a new trainer and he is so BAD! You are a phony hater of good fighters. GGG destroyed the UKs best middleweights Murray and Macklin you can't stand it. Now that everyone thinks Wilder would KO AJ you aren't happy about that either. You should take down that insulting image of Wilder. Only a childish ass hole makes fun of a world champion that way.Comment

That's what happens when people have an agenda. Anyone who speaks out against the one they hate, they're all of a sudden the most honest person out there and speaking nothing but the truth. Even though what they're saying is bollocks like all the haters speak.
Just laugh at people's desperation and hypocrisy. It's all they have these sad weirdos.Comment

Idk why people act like GGG was suddenly the only one who left him. Fighters have been leaving Sanchez left and right for awhile. If it wasn't for Golovkin being up in Big Bear, fighters wouldn't have been going to Sanchez in the first place. They obviously didn't learn much. It was more about wanting to be around Gennady.Comment

Me neither. You make a good point, his arrogance made a lot of people dislike Golovkin. The same way Hearn - and some terrible new British posters also - made a lot of people want to see Joshua lose badly. Hearn and Abel simply talk way too much.
I prefer trainers who do their job and don't try to be the promoter, the manager and do the trash-talking for their fighters. Robert Garcia has been one of the most sought-after trainers for years, but he managed to stay somewhat humble, and although he does a lot of interviews he doesn't come across as arrogant or bash other fighters.
Ronnie Shields is one of my favs, former world champion, experienced trainer of many high-profile fighters and a respectful, low-key type of man.Comment
