Prime for Prime Stevenson would beat the hell out of these crop of 175 pounder and I think he would have stopped Kovalev. Look, I get it, He's a huge pos but he was lightening quick, had a great 1-2 and was amazingly fast even into his middle to late 30's. Could have been an ATG if he gave a damn about building a legacy.

          I meant Mike Tyson,

And good reporting and duly noted, guess I’ll have to cut one of my sources and find a new one!

How about you become my new source?

He wasnt RJJ quick but he had A-level speed and was a bit quicker than the others, I agree. But you leave out he's technically worse than all this current group, all this current group are two handed punchers he's mostly just a left handed puncher, this entire group has great jabs he had next to no jab, all this current group have good defensive guards, most with their hands up or Bivol very good at the one hand down (sometimes) style, Stevenson has a pretty poor guard. And Gvozdyk and Beterbiev, prime for prime, have shown better stamina. Stevenson's punch resistance was good at times, bad at others...

Those would have been great fights. To say Stevenson would have "beat the hell" out of this crop makes it sound like he would have been a big favorite to beat them all. I don't see that at all. I think they would have been great fights, and if each of them fought Stevenson 10 times, Stevenson would have won a few of them by KO, but otherwise I'm not sure he wins 5 of 10 let alone 6+. Fonfara and Bika survived the onslaught for 12 rounds... whichever of Kovalev, Beterbev, maybe Bivol and Gvozdyk, could take the shots as well or better than they did, would beat Stevenson more times than not. If they last 12, they're probably winning more rounds, most of the time. And if they can last up to 12, much of the time Stevenson would not be able to. I know at 40 he lasted 11 vs Gvozdyk, but that had a lot to do with Gvozdyk's gameplan, and just the way it went. He also got dropped badly as early as the 3rd round. Gvozdyk and Bivol are the weakest punchers of the 4. Prime Kovalev and prime Beterbiev may have been worse for Stevenson, even prime Stevenson, except for the 2-3 times out of 10 he catches them perfect and stops them before they can stop him.

Yeah great point, I was using hyperbole. I could see Kovalev giving him trouble but those other guys? Nah, plus you have to remember that Kovalev is weak to the body and always been(he was or still is an alcoholic) in boxing circle what isn't known to the public is known to them. I think he was fast enough where he could basically outbox them whilst being technically a wrong fighter. I always wondered why Stevenson was giving so much pull I have to think it's because he was one of Haymons first major signing? All of his fights for about half a decade where in Canada

Geez... defending an obvious abuser like this eediott? Wow, you're as low classed of a coward as he is, if that's truly how you feel about this situation.
