Right. It is a good question. Not every Mexican American can speak Spanish.

George Carlin is not exactly a font of knowledge on this subject. People are proud because of a multitude of reasons e.g., proud of their parents, siblings, proud of being, ***ish, Catholic, Protestant, ******, Sufi, proud of their president, their national flag, that their ancestors helped liberate Europe, survived the Spanish Inquisition and so on. Who is to say that they shouldn't be proud?

if Lou hung himself off a bridge, it would be a more effective protest

I am all for that..... and I fully support him if he chooses to make that decision

          I got rope

I do agree that Golovkin is being maybe too harsh on Sanchez, but Sanchez started it. He said very bad things about Golovkin. Talked about greed and other shyt. Then tried to fix things by saying: "I'm hurt, I lost a son".
How can a fighter be one of the top 5 amateur fighters of the last 25 years and have a silver medal??

Be proud of your kid that studied really hard to get an A and acheived his goal. Be proud of yourself that you do such a good job at work and got a raise...

Don't be proud if you didn't do ish to be a free man or brown or white or green! You can be happy that you are though!

Being proud of something you never had control over is one of the most ignorant things ever in the history of humans!

July 20th! Be proud of Manny!

As I recall your point was that one should only be proud of something you achieve on your own. You prove my point when you say that one can be proud of their child's achievements. Thankfully there is no law against being proud of the guys in your platoon who had your back in combat or being proud of your younger brother who is working and living on his own despite having down syndrome or being proud of your mother who showed grace and courage on her death bed.

Friend, neither you nor anyone else has the right to limit what a person should or should not be proud of. Lucky for the rest of us, you are not in charge and the world of 1984 has not yet arrived.

He must have been beaten by one of the top 5 amateurs of the last 25 years.

Top 5 in no particular order: Lazlo Papp, Teofilio Stevenson, Lomachenko, Feliz Savon, Muhammed Ali, with Mark Breland honorable mention
