He could be wild at times, threw looping punches, and telegraphed a lot of shots. But i did notice he threw some pretty good counters and that his defense was rather good. His power seemed pretty impressice too. This was a step up in class for him and he handed it well. His next fight should be a little steo up again and he should take it slow. He said he wants to fight in August and then go for a world title, i think he should wait a little longer. He should fight guys like maybe a Chris Smith or a Jose Cruz something like that. Fight some better comp for about 4 maybe 5 fights and then go for that title, dont rush it. Hes deffinately a work in progress. But we got ourselves another Latino prospect.

I think he has horrible technique,not a terribily exciting prospect,especially at that age.

Honestly this has nothing to do with you but he is nothing special. The has a padded record, seriously look at the guys he fights. He is 33 years old and this was unfortunatly a step up for him from his 9 year boxing career. He is slow and his opposition can see his punches coming with time to react.

The guy he fought was coming up from a lose is newer to the sport and has extreme weight flucations. He was fighting at Super Middelweight just last year. That not healthy on a boxer. You have much better boxers in your sig with the excption of Urango.

The best guy Mesquita fought before this was a guy whose record was 2-0... Thats with 9 years in the game folks.

Brazilian and Mexican. I might come across as a Puerto Rican cause how i was brought up. My brother is Puerto Rican, i got a Puerto Rican step father who raised me. My real dad was Brazilian and i never met him and my Puerto Rican step dad raised me. And where i live there are lots of ricans so I probably come acoss as a rican at times. Brazilain by blood but Puerto Rican by heart, but i still got Brazilian pride. And of course some Mexican pride too.

I thought he had pretty good defense actually. Go watch the fight again. Im not sayin he nasty or anything but I thought his defense was alright.

Your boy is carrying some heavy hands, but his lack of speed and technique will get him slaughtered when he steps up for real.

The kid that he fought tonight is the classic case of an amatuer who turned pro but was never taught to fight like one. When I speak about learning to turn with a shot for power this kid that he fought is the classic example of lacking in that department.

Your boy is not a prospect in my opinion. More of a protected and guided boxer. Once you get to a certain level everbody can fight. With what your boy showed in skill, he cant compete. He will surprise a few on his descent with his power.
