If you weren't born and raised in Mexico (or any other country for that matter) you can't claim it the same way someone who was born and raised there can. Was it a eurocentric view when Juan Manuel Marquez told Juan Diaz that he wasn't full Mexican because he wasn't from there and was from Texas?? Whether you want to admit not or not, that's how Mexicans from Mexico view Mexicans born in the US as well. Unless they want to claim glory for their success, then their perspective may change.

Yes it was. Marquez unfortunately like many of my people suffer from the most vicious of the psychological weapons they’ve used against us, division. If he only knew the truth, he would feel like

I can’t wait for the the rematch as well. I just hope that whoever loses the fight still gets treated with love. What will you do if Ruiz beats him again? Will you seriously start hating AJ just because he lost a fight? Will we see how much Britain loves him then? I hope that regardless of the outcome, you’ll still appreciate the fact that these guys are risking their lives in there for your entertainment.

They are not only doing it for my/our entertainment. They are hopefully making some money as well. They knew what they were getting themselves into when they started pounding on punching bags.
