Kovalev has fought States-side a fair bit, I wonder if he's got a "home" venue there, or if Arum has a particular favorite venue?

Atlantic City is where Kovalev has sold pretty well. Main Events is also based in the same state. Arum needs to step in & save this show. This is a good ESPN fight

No. Kovalev is in. Even if they lose the bid, he will go to the UK to fight.

So, there are only two options:
1) this fight takes place (somewhere);
2) Yarde's side loses the purse bid and they refuse to fight on Kovalev's terms.

Kovalev’ power is still there. Power is the last thing to go.

The purse bid was due to take place Tuesday morning in Jamaica (Queens), New York, but was postponed—this time at the request of Yarde’s promoter, Frank Warren.

Something fishy is going on, maybe Warren hoped that Kovalev would get suspended because of that US instagram "model" that sued him and they would be fighting for a vacant title anyway.

Specially that Kovalev holds the WBO which is basically Bob Arums title and now that Warren works together with Bob they might try to work something out to get Yarde that title..
