What speculation? GGG wasn't signed to DAZN when Canelo signed & Canelo has said there is nothing in his contract that binds him to a GGG fight. Which makes sense because GGG WASN'T SIGNED TO DAZN WHEN CANELO SIGNED!!!

No. I criticized HBO for allowing him to fight cans.

Secondly nowhere did I say broadcasters have no say. I said there is no stipulation in Canelo's contract that says he must fight GGG, which Canelo has stated. They can't force him to fight GGG. They can incentivize him to fight him. They can also reject other fights. If Canelo says he wants to fight Callum Smith that fight is happening. What is DAZN gonna do? Canelo is the only fighter bringing in subs.

That's true, but I guarantee it was part of GGG's contract.

They likely said that if he signs with DAZN he'll get one tuneup and then Canelo. It's very clear that is what Golovkin wanted. They definitely have leverage over Canelo and he'll definitely cave into their demands.

broadcasters, when having contractual relationship, can accept or reject fights

take ward/brand for example....hbo would have never paid ward for that fight in a million years if they didn't know they were getting him vs kovalev next.....but ward wanted an easy payday/sparring session since he had been out of action and wanted to recoup some lost wages....and hbo obliged....under normal circumstances they would have never approved that mismatch

hbo accepted fights for golovkin they wouldn't have approved for other guys because they wanted to cultivate him into a star....

According to who? DAZN obviously wants Canelo vs GGG 3 more than any other fight. Why else would they pay GGG so much money to come to DAZN. It sure wasn't so they they could pay him 8 figures to fight Steve Rolls type opponents for 3 years.

you cant tell my andrade has fought nobody...it doesnt matter....im one of andrades harshest critics as we are both from ri and ive known him since he was a kid.....his resume stinks...but hes an olympian with pedigree and a belt....and his name is known in the boxing world

if he would "destroy" andrade than he could have just fought him.....apparently him and the people that run his career think andrade is a risk

its the same as you guys claiming he would have killed lara years ago...ok...maybe he would have....but there was still no reason to not fight him when he was ranked #1 at 154 and known more than basically any MW at the time...lara had headlined network and premium shows several times around the time he was asking for golovkins attention....golovkins own team insisted "hes not on our radar...he brings no money or fans"....yet somehow we were supposed to believe that guys like wade, monroe, stevens etc were?!?!? no..lara carried more risk at making golovkin look human because he was known to be tricky and a spoiler

if andrade was the easy work you claim they could have just fought him instead of taking a guy with lesser pedigree to protect the canelo rematch....they fought rolls because they felt it was much safer and thats just plain and simple

they ran around shouting 168 and trying to make fights with froch and chavez there...his team even claimed it could be his best weight....yet when ward able to fight he said no within minutes and went on to fight dom wade and a welterweight

he refused to negotiate on a CW with cotto and canelo when they held the belt

when ggg held the belt martinez and cotto were gone...and canelo was still making his way up to the division.....there wasnt anything to duck there at all.....so cong**** to golovkin for not ducking anyone when he was champ...even though there was no one good or noteworthy there at the time

now he dont have a belt either and he could have fought andrade to pick one up but felt it would be better to fight someone that is basically unknown......not to mention the dismissal of ward and lara....

i agree...sulecki is a tought fight and its andrades first pro fight(think about how many fights hes into in his pro career by now...hes 31) in his hometown which hasnt had a real championship fight since god knows when....and overall his resume is absolute crap too( i say this all the time...for context...but andrade is from my home state of RI too...and we really rally behind pros from there in any sport because of how small we are of a state)

but like i said...your opinion on how the fight would go does not mean it should or should not happen

essentially golovkins career is over...hes on the wrong side of 30s.....hes basically not fighting anyone who isnt named canelo...if he gets a 3rd fight and loses where does he go? probably retires

to some degree i respect a guy that can take out top 10 guys and "take out bums".....but the same people that are ok and satisfied with that also talk negatively about wilder doing the same thing....wilder is good at it too...except he took two top 5 HWs and knocked them down 5x in the last year and a half.....but because wilders approach is less conventional and hes a black american he gets hated on for it....
