Comments Thread For: Fury: Joshua Quit, And When You Quit Once You're Finished

Tyson Fury strongly believes that his domestic rival, Anthony Joshua, made a mental decision to "quit" during his June 1 clash with Andy Ruiz. Ruiz, pulling off one of the biggest upsets in boxing history, dropped Joshua four times for a TKO victory in the seventh round. With the win, Ruiz captured Joshua's WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF world heavyweight titles - before a stunned crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

You know what...Tyson's right A.J is a quitter no doubt. However at least Joshua lost his titles by defending them in battle, Tyson on the other hand just abandons rematch clauses and the sport for that matter.

So its hard to really determine whos worse here, Tyson gets up in the 12th round but ducked Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder and Klitschko before that ; Joshua forfeits his titles to Andy 'Destroyer' Ruiz by forcing the refs hand, yet I still think A.J gets in there again.

These two need to prove themselves in America.

People forget about this because he played the victim card claiming alcoholism and depression. - Alcoholics don't tend to be big fat pricks, they don't eat so they go skinny.

This bellend simply went on a food binge, again major coke heads aren't fat as ******* suppresses your appetite.

He is a cheat that is playing on peoples heartstrings and they have fallen for it.

There's a truth to this. I don't think you ever come back fully from a quit because you have told your yourself there's a way out. I don't think Kovalev will ever be the same after he got beat up and quit against the ropes, pretending it was the low blows that stopped him.

I don't think AJ "quit" in the traditional sense but he definitely was no longer in the fight, mentally, and it every time he faces adversity, his mind will be looking for that escape again.

I like fury but the only thing that’s changed now is people know it’s possible to beat josh, but you’ve still got to do it.
But josh will beat many more credible opponents before he retires in 10 years time. So I don’t think he’s finished. W lad looked worse after losing to sanders and Brewster but came back

The only 100% genuine guy in the division is JParker. Unfortunately, it happens rarely in boxing that such a guy is the ruler at the same time. Wladimir Klitschko.
Ruiz is pretty genuine, like 110% genuine.
