What you suggest makes a lot of sense, but Golovkin will avoid Andrade or anyone else who could possibly pose a threat. He does not want to risk losing the Canelo gravy train.

GGG had been considered the class of the MW division basically since Sergio Martinez’s health started deteriorating. And Canelo won the lineal title. A division can’t get much more unified than that. If you think Canelo decisively beat GGG, nothing else should be required of him to be THEE MW champion of the world. Me personally, I don’t think Canelo decisively beat GGG. So to me, Canelo needs to clear victory over GGG to cement himself as the MW kingpin. I don’t care if he has 100 belts.

To have all four belts is what is considered unified. Once unified them the champ reigns by making defenses of all four belt mandatories. Ggg would be a distraction at this point. Especially when we all saw ggg getting outskilled

              Very factual statement.

                "I'm the people's champion."

Maybe in his mind, but Canelo is still the man to beat. And judging by how Rolls connected a bunch last night.... unfortunately for GGG and his fans... I don't see a W coming his way in the 3rd fight. He actually should feel very lucky one or both of his eyes didn't give out in the 2nd fight, or he'd have had a TKO loss, not just the L. And I read elsewhere, fans supporting GGG's face looking like it went thru a meat grinder by saying that's how GGG fights... supposedly it doesn't hurt him... so he fights like that on purpose. WHO fights on purpose to get their face rearranged like that? And GGG can't do many body shots because he knows Canelo will counter by punching him in the face. I'm glad GGG's spirits are high. Good for him. But IMO, fight #3 will not be what he envisions it's outcome to be.

You need a belt first chump.

I know Canelo can beat 97k again, easier this time, but after the disgraceful act of fighting Rolls, then thinking he can waltz into a big payday, if I were Oscar or Canelo i wouldn't give the hypocrite the satisfaction.
