I only watch this sport... And I also think that, previously, GGG was only after the Canelo's money... And he took that money alright... but now I guess it's too late to try to "lure" Canelo into another fight under DAZN (whatever the outcome would be)...

... Smith actually is a solid LHW... But I also don't think that Canelo would fancy that shrewd "Gypsy' as well...

GG got ***ed over because Canelo is the protected star, I think he deserves a chance to earn a fair decision. The only people who are against it are people who are afraid GG might win.
GGG knows he isn’t getting any younger, and I’d be very surprised if his DAZN deal doesn’t implicitly say that he will fight Canelo in his second fight under that banner. I feel a fight this fall between the two of them is 55-45 Canelo - you add another camp, and another battle to GGG’s odometer and he would really be up against it.

          I agree.
I picked Canelo in the first 2 fights and, even though I feel he should have lost those fights, I think he would win a 3rd.

Doesn't change my feeling that he should have the opportunity to avenge what can fairly be called robbery. I hate the DLH attitude that "we call the shots" and all the f@ggot fans that repeat it like parrots because it's just justification for running because they know Canelo got gifted.

In any contractual negotiation where one side has more leverage than the other side, then the side with more leverage gets more of what it wants by simple virtue of the fact that they have the leverage to do that.

In boxing that's commonly labelled 'A side' - the ones who can call the shots more than the other side. Sometimes its even, but not that often, and never in Canelo/Golovkins case, where Canelo has always been the A side - reason why he's always got the bigger cut and Golovkin has had to battle to increase his percentage.

So DLH saying that Canelo is the A side 'now' just sounds like baiting - he's always been the A side, both before and now. Question I ask myself is why go baiting Golovkin if the fight isn't going to happen ?

Calm down, man... Now they are both DAZN employees... somehow... (with the difference that Canelo holds the longer and more valuable contract in place)...

It got leaked that Golovkin's 100m deal with DAZN includes a purse of 30m for any third fight with Canelo. So Golovkin's got that big fat carrot hanging down in front of him (so the DAZN deal is only 70m without Canelo ?? Dunno).

Nothing has been mentioned about the structure of Canelo's deal, but it wouldn't be stretch to imagine there is a similar clause in there where part of his deal includes a purse for a third Golovkin fight.

Of course Canelo could give that up if he wanted to do something else, but we suspect there is a big pot of money on the table he would have to walk away from, and up to him and DLH if they want to do that.

Positioning themselves to walk away will also encourage DAZN to turn to their 'bonuses and incentives' section to sweeten the plot, and am guessing that's what DLH is targeting by pretending he's willing to walk away. Maybe he can bring himself to abandon a big pot of money !

I can only see that the old man Golovkin would go "life and death" vs Canelo at this point... Canelo may choose to fight a 38 yo GGG as well... they really can't force him to proceed otherwise, I guess...

Anyone who says Canelo is avoiding GGG now is an idiot and I am not a Canelo fan. He fought GGG twice already, we can argue both outcomes, but clearly Canelo isn’t afraid of GGG. He just has other options before taking that fight. GGG needs another name on his resume like Terry Norris (Charlo) or Saunders, then that 3rd fight becomes much greater with Canelo.
