Canelo needs to fight GGG in Sept 2019 or May 2020

GGG is done at the elite level. But he’s still good.

Golden Boy/Canelo need to jump on him in Sept 2019 or May 2020. I know they said he needs a belt but if they don’t act fast someone else will get a highlight reel KO vs GGG, or a wide decision win and it would be a shame if Canelo misses out on that. GGG is ready to go, he is ready to become a gatekeeper for up and coming and young fighters looking for a “name” opponent.

GGG will be safe and will keep some hype as long as he keeps fighting the Rolls’ and Wade’s of the world, and Canelo will be fighting tougher opponents like Jacobs and maybe Calum Smith at 168 which imo Canelo is biting off more than he can chew with that fight.

"Tougher" opponents in Jacobs, yet imposes restrictions and is an opponent G already beat. And uses a "maybe" in Smith. Don't use hypotheticals to prove a point. Canelo is slowing down. Jumping around from 155/154 to 164-160-168-160 isn't doing him any favors.

what do you mean hes done at the elite level?

      i dont get you guys.

in most people's eyes he won both fights. in all people's eyes both fights (especially the second one) were very close. how does that equate to golovkin being done at the elite level? wheres the logic in that?

yes, hes old, but he's been old for a mw fighter for quite some time now and yet hes still delivering.

      youre not making much sense.

I will have to just bump this thread if GGG ever steps up again. I can’t explain it any further.

And where do you get that in most people’s eyes he won the second fight?

Yea he got hit in ways I didn't expect him to get hit by this guy which wasn't a good look. Don't think he took this guy that seriously & there is likely some growing pains with a new trainer, but yea he's had two hair thin close decisions with Canelo & if he gets bypassed for Sept. he should get the May 2020 date. If he can't hang with Canelo for the first time in 3 fights that needs to be proven in the ring not in theory.

define stepping up? Did he not step up when he fought cleanelo twice? he was flat out robbed in the first fight and many thought he won the second fight either way he wasn't exposed like you are trying to portray also clenelo had the advantage of using PEDS for the first fight. I don't think clenelo or anybody else can knock out GGG he has an absolute cast iron jaw has never been down or even hurt/wobbled. andrade is feather fisted and clenelo has never been able to wobble much less knock ggg down in the 24 rounds they've fought. We saw GGG take clenelo's best punch GGG just walked straight through it like it was nothing!
