GGG's new trainer has taught him nothing

GGG looked like absolute shyt against Rolls, a D-level fighter.

Truth is, Lil G only got new trainer Banks in order to conn the public into thinking that he's a better and "new" fighter. Fake Detroit Style.

In reality, at age 37 there's nothing new he can learn, and he will get worse and worse every fight.

Lil Rat G threw Abel under the bus.

Agree. Golovkin ate some hard shots, as usual. And eventually overwhelmed a non-elite opponent.

Switching to new trainers at that age is just mental boost nothing more.

There is absolutely nothing GGG can learn at that age that GGG will be comfortable using in a fight. He's too old to learn new tricks.

The truth huh? Funny how many people round here claim to have insight into 'the truth'. Dudes parted ways over money and their differing opinions over how much Sanchez was worth.... same reason most people get hired and fired.

That said, you're right that there probably is not much GGG can actually learn though he might benefit from a training regime more tailored to his age - my sense is that Sanchez may have something of a 'one size fits all' approach to camp.

And yeah, sure, like you say, dude is 37. Hardly difficult to predict that he's going be in a steady decline... if he's anything like the vast majority of fighters of his size he probably peaked between about about 28 and 32.

Golovkin got hit with some flush shots. Didn't flash anything too spectacular apart from his good chin and strong punching.

He obviously went with Banks because he was willing to work for less than Abel Sanchez.

But in fairness they haven't had much time to work together. It will take more training camps before we can accurately judge the pairing.
